Guest guest
Veta-- we haven't had experience with St. Joe's, but we've gone to Valley Center for Child Development. In regards to the speech-- it was " ok " . They know he's Apraxic, but none of the girls who work there are " Apraxia experts " , so I can't say that the speech treatment has been directed at the Apraxia, and y et, they know how to work with him well enough WITH his Apraxia. Hope that made sense? We see 2 private SLPs who direct Apraxia speech issues, and they are phenomenal, so with them AND the Valley SLPs, it's been an excellent combination for my son Bek In a message dated 8/7/2009 5:25:17 P.M. Just wondering if time will be wasted going there for speech twice a week. Many hospitals say they can help my child, when after all they only offer mainstream, plain speech- not aimed at apraxia, as we all know how important that is. Would like to know if anyone has experience with other hospitals/clinics in northern NJ, thank you. Iveta
