Guest guest
Our 2 year old son was recently diagnosed with verbal apraxia. One of his therapists showed us the book The Late Talker and in it talked about the benefits of giving the apraxic child the Omega 3 supplements. My husband and I were wondering if the Nordic Naturals ProEFA Omega 3 supplement mentioned in the book is better than any other brand that we have seen in the stores and for what reason it is better. None of the other brands of liquids we have found have all the same ingredients or the same percentages of ingredients as the Nordic Naturals brand. What is it about that particular brand that works? Guest guest
Hi. I know Nordic Naturals is gluten/casein free however Bock in his book " Healing the New Childhood Epidemics " says quality Cod Liver Oil can be bought in just about any Health Food Store. I recently started my son on a supplement called Speak..check out www.speechnutrients.com for more info..its too early to tell if its helping as he's not yet up to the recommended dose, but does seem to be babbling more. Good Luck! > > Our 2 year old son was recently diagnosed with verbal apraxia. Guest guest
Nordic third party tests for toxins such as mercury in the formula- this is important, not all brands do this..and the formula/ratio and concentration of EFAs is better for our children than average oils on the shelves. I am sure others can add more info- these are MY two main reasons for using nordic. After using Nordic on my son for 18 months,I do rotate 2 other brands: green pastures and " Natural Factor's RxOmega-3 Factors " - this one has awesome high concentration and good ratio of EPA to DHA. Guest guest
My daughter is on 2 Nordic Naturals ProEFA and 1 ProEPA a day. She is doing amazingly well. When I have tried other brand I don't get the same reaction. I have also just added vitamon E and she is doing even better. > > > > Our 2 year old son was recently diagnosed with verbal apraxia.
