Guest guest
Dear Family :-) I'll add my input, but can tell you better once she reads your email :-) My son is 2 1/2 and he is just over 26 lbs, probably abut 28, but will tell you, it doesn't really matter how much he weighs. Cale (my son) takes one heaping scoop of NV a day and that's very appropriate for his age. I BELIEVE that goes through age 3, though will correct me if I'm wrong. I do know that you can't really take TOO much of it, as the body just gets rid of what it doesn't need. Also, warned me of a period of about a week of the hyper, crazy behavior. Lucky for us, we didn't experience it, but it sounds like you are and so hopefully you are nearing the end of it! Let me know if you have any other questions that you think I might be able to answer, but is a wealth of knowledge and can answer ANYTHING, seriously, she's awesome :-) -Brittany In a message dated 8/3/2010 8:29:54 P.M. How long does this generally last? What is causing this sensitivity from the Nutriveda? Please someone give me some information or hope that it will fade as it is hard to not want to quit... Guest guest
Hope it's OK if I answer this from an archive as it's come up many times before both now with nutriiveda/NV and fish oils. In both cases this stage is temporary and the choice is to reduce and increase water, or most go full steam ahead and it's over in about a week. As you will read below however not all the kids go through this stage. There could be more than one reason for the stage your child is in. On is many of our special needs children do not go through developmentally important stages and once on proper nutrition their bodies go through normal and healthy developmental stages that some parents view as " bad " these stages include but not limited to teething or " terrible twos " ... stages that are typically viewed in younger children but that the child goes through later. Also nutriiveda is dosage dependent and hydration is also important. You want to be using a full scoop and making sure your child is getting enough liquid (a quick idea of how much is take body weight and divide in half and that's about the amount of liquid) I highly recommend you find a professional to work with as most parents today are more fearful of natural whole foods than the KFC Double Down...or genetically altered foods....or even (OMG) sticking their children on DRUGS that are for adults that have side effects to knock out the liver of an elephant. Nutriiveda is just food- whole food. It's the cleanest and probably healthiest food you will ever feed your child and all the nutrients are from whole foods and the entire product is water soluble. Working with a medical or nutritional professional I believe parents can feel better about giving their child something that is not made by Kraft, Nabisco, Mc s, Pfizer, Novartis...but made instead by Mother Nature. On a full dosage this stage lasts about a week but not knowing if you have enough hydration and not using the correct dosage it would be difficult to say how long it will last other than it's been reported to be temporary -typically about a week. Here are some theories as to why there may be changes in behavior from the archives: Nutriiveda question Hi Marni, Wow it goes well beyond acting calmer for my ADHD son who has for most of his 15 years been on mega dosages of fish oils -and as I pointed out nutriiveda does not replace fish oils but compliments it tremendously. Dakota is light years more focused, communicative -and not only calmer -but 2 nights ago when we had family over for a dinner party...without asking he helped me clear the table and actually spent time sitting and talking with his elderly Aunt and Uncle. Again light years difference in maturity -getting homework done early...and grades solid high 90s. The only time I see any old behaviors of teasing his brother and acting up is if he forgets his fish oil. But fish oils brought him amazingly far in that they kept him off medications all this year. But the surges on nutriiveda are (and those of us that see them know what I mean) BEYOND anything you can explain -across the board. And I can't explain it just a difference -and it for sure appears to me as if not just helping but repair is going on. I am seeing my boys as different -in an incredible way. Tanner did go through a bit of a cranky period as well -my husband was more upset by it than I was. I saw it as typical teen like attitude. It has passed -but again to me it wasn't that big of a deal (especially in light of all the surges) OK it wouldn't be a post from me without my version of why I think this is happening right? I just read that a microchip, the brain of a worm and the human brain are much more alike than we think http://www.physorg.com/news191167208.html Well perhaps when the body starts producing more of the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, etc it's like a faucet that had the water turned off for awhile. You know how when the water is first on sometimes you have to let it run for a bit because when the liquid first comes out it's all strange brown looking and you wouldn't drink it if they paid you -and maybe even smells? Well not saying it's like the water exactly -but perhaps in a way? Maybe that's why it's temporary because as the " water keeps flowing " it gets clearer and more the way it's supposed to? Those neurotransmitters would for sure affect mood, behavior etc. The essential fatty acids and the essential amino acids both affect neurotransmitter production from what I read. (I have some of this in the info for the docs on the PDF you find here http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html ) So that may be the answer people -think brown water with lots of sediments (ama? toxins?) and we have to wait till it runs clear! =====
