Guest guest
WOOHOO!!! Congratulations on all you are seeing so far! Please don't stress about the mood or behavior changes some report in the first week or so -that appears to level out as time goes on. For years we've seen the same thing with fish oils but the difference with nutriiveda is we are seeing the surges even while we are seeing these initial mood changes..with fish oils the surges didn't start until that stage passed (about a week or so) and some look at is as a bad stage - I look at all of it as a good thing as it's clear things are happening! From what you wrote his speech has improved but we are hearing reports that in addition to social actions- social speech comes in with nutriiveda too. Would you say that his expressive speech is more social? So glad you never gave up on your son and you are seeing surges in your 10 year old (just think how close that is to 13 and how soon you are seeing this!!!) About your anger at those who didn't believe your child would amount to anything (grrrrr!) You go back to any doctor you want that shot your child down, that shoots children down, especially preschool children- and please do that for your child and the futures of other children that professional may negatively influence. Clearly based just on recent conversation here some parents put way to much stock in the opinion (which is all it is -either parental or professional opinion) of whatever doctor they happen to have taken their child to. There are doctors and therapists all over the country and world and some appear to be more negative than others. We need to as a group raise awareness that our children just because they may not be able to speak for themselves yet -they are backed by some big mouth parents who say " give my child the benefit of the doubt!! " -and I'm one of them -and you go ahead and be one too -you'll get a high five from me and a bunch of us! =====
Guest guest
When I first joined this group I hate to admit I used to wonder if my child would ever be normal, and even though no professional ever said the things some of you have heard I know if I did I too would have just believed it. This group has taught me to believe in my son. Kate > > WOOHOO!!! Congratulations on all you are seeing so far! Guest guest
What great news that at 10 yrs old you are seeing such progress so quickly Congratulations! > > Hi, > > started NV few weeks ago. I have to look to make sure it was around 2 weeks. The time flies around here. My son with DX of autism which I am not sure is the right DX at this time. I have few doctors giving me different answers. > So is saying " drink water. " for asking for water. It used to be cuppa .. He said, " little green marker. " Today he was crying and he said to me " I'm crying " . His neurotransmitters are elevated so I have a emotional moody child. > Hopefully I will talk to the doctor on Tuesday. The nurse said she mention something about adrenal stress. > He is going to be 10 yrs old this July he has mostly echolalia however he used to be nonverbal around 15 to 18months old. His speech is not that bad. He can say clear words like chocolate . I would say that PC help with him repeating us. But now he is putting verb and noun together and now really hittng adjectives when he is talking. So glad I never gave up. I have all the time. I just want to take my child back to the doctor who told me my son is not going to mount to anything an d will not have friends or graduate . Well that made me mad. I will prove him wrong. I'm glad my son was asleep and didn't hear such negativity. Oh yeah he also has a deletion in #4 chromosome . He still keeps surprising me. > Kathy >
