Guest guest
Meghan, In what state are you located? My clinic is located in Marriottsville, MD---western County. We specialize in apraxia and autism. My SLPs are trained in PROMPT, Talk Tools oral placement hierarchies, Beckman stretches, and selective eaters..among other techniques. We do many specialty evaluations and treatment plans for clients in and out of state. Our evaluations examine receptive/expressive language as well as in-depth analysis of the strength, grading, stability, coordination, and dissociation of the jaw, lips, and tongue. Tell me more about your son. How many words does he produce at one time? Our clients make great progress in the areas of speech and language! Many of my clients are taking Nordic Naturals Omega 3-6-9s and EPA (2:1 ratio). In addition, many of these same clients take NutriiVeda----and have had huge surges. Of course, check with your child's pediatrician but in my opinion, try NutriiVeda!! If any parents or professionals would like more information on how these are working for my clients, email me off list. He has never been diagnosed with apraxia, though I suspect it. Anyway, I want to take him for another evaluation by a speech specialist but I'm not sure who to go to. He has been evaluated by several speech therapists over the years who basically do the bare minimum evaluation to verify that he qualifies (i.e. insurance will pay) for speech therapy. I should add that his progress in speech therapy has been verrrrry slow, though he has made some and I am confident that he can make more progress with the right type of diagnosis and help. Thanks! - Meghan
