Guest guest
Hi, I did a assessment on my child that is on line. One thing I notice was his numbers went up more when I had to fill out the speech part of the assessment. So he is moderate autistic. I should go back an d do it and put a false negative on there and say his language an d speech is fine and see what the heck dx it will give. My son is not social but looks at kids and touches them with interests but has no idea what to do with them. Could this be his lack of communication or autism? Its so hard to figure this out. He has never line toys up . However he never plays with toys or has use his imagination. He did walk on his toes at on e point . I address yeast and that went away. What type of speech therapy has been most helpful ? What are things I can do to help my son increase his language . He is not nonverbal he is limited expressively communication. When he does say words while repeating his speech is not as bad as I thought. He has his " th's " sound like " f's " . I appreciate any help . I feel if I can address his apraxia and his dyspraxia my child would be so different. I have done ABA for over 2 yrs and really I saw some progress, but not enough for the price. He still has difficult times to imitate things correctly. He tries to do thumbs up for example but he can not keep his thumb up just has his figures curl and thumb is down . sorry for rambling on . I am missing a big piece here to help my son. Best Kathy
