Guest guest
Hi All - Just curious if anyone else has issues with gas after drinking NV? I take it myself, two scoops in water daily but directly afterwards I get pain and rumbling in my stomach area. I stir it with a stirrer - could that be the problem? I've noticed little pockets of air in it, and I'm thinking perhaps it's not being stirred enough. Also - I know that we can take the little ones off multi-vitamins when on NV, but does that pertain to adults as well? Thanks!
Guest guest
hmmmmmm I don't know how to say this politely...NV gets rid of ama through a natural detox stage as I write about here " the whey isolate protein plays a very important role of dramatically raising the antioxidant glutathione. " The antioxidant glutathione—critical for the body to excrete metals—typically works by binding to heavy metals, which the body then knows to eliminate. In 2004, researcher Jill , Ph.D., of the Arkansas School of Medicine, led a pioneering study that showed autistic kids had significantly less glutathione than typical kids—which put their bodies in a state of " constant oxidative stress. " In other words, autistic kids were genetically predisposed to have low glutathione levels, making them particularly susceptible to heavy metal toxicity. " (2) http://pursuitofresearch.org/science.html It's not going to just rid heavy metals however -but undigested food, build up -toxins in general. What most report is an increase in bowel movements -that's normal -gas -not normal. If you are going through gas I know that you should double check your liquid intake. You may notice you drink a bottle or two of water...and then poof (but change the f) Unless the pain and rumbling has something to do with constipation or allergies I don't know anything about that aspect and no never heard of that either. I know quite a few adults on it and the increase in number 2 is the number one good or bad aspect I hear about depending on how the person looks at it, but no again have not heard about gas -unless people don't share that with me. Funny story is that my entire family now takes nutriiveda twice a day and just did a long car trip from Florida to NY...I can assure you that would have been a huge problem if it created gas!!! None of us have that issue (but we all live in Florida where we carry and drink water all day long and are used to that) I don't think this has anything to do with not mixing it enough -again my hunch is probably not enough water. One test I read to show dehydration is to grab the skin on the back of your hand and see if it stays pinched (mine doesn't) In general you want to take your body weight and divide in half and that's about the amount of liquid you should be drinking a day anyway. I have a times .6 formula here you could follow too http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html My only other suggestion is to lower your dosage, examine what other foods you are eating because one problem I have heard from people is they stop eating other foods and you are supposed to eat one full meal and 2 snacks with the 2 shakes if you are using it for weight loss. Body builders follow this eat a bit every few hours throughout the day -so eating 5 times a day schedule. I mean eat healthy snacks and foods if possible. Well actually I do have one other suggestion- email me lisa@... and I will pass you on to someone that works with the doctors http://pursuitofresearch.org/advisors.html for more answers too. The doctors say the whole foods in it have no known side effects or no known overdose -but I have been told some people have a more sensitive system to the detox stage and for them...take it slow as far as dosage and keep hydration up to where it should be. Hope this helps and hope again I said it as politely as possible! =====
