Guest guest
Can you tell me a little more about dairy? Why is it bad?
Guest guest
that's good to know because my son has a skin allergic reaction to just about anything. His skin is very sensitive around his mouth, sometimes he will just get red bumps and sometimes he can get beet red around his mouth. He drinks milk all the time, he loves it. But I have never had him tested for allergies. His pediatrician was never really concerned about it. Guest guest
my child is gluten and casein free..... (basically wheat and milk free) she has been and didn't even have those come back as allergens on her testing.....we feel that gluten causes inflammation (which she was dx with asthma but now being dx with aspiration rather than asthma) and dairy causes mucous too......we also feel dairy is BAD for you....she is on supplements AND gets calcium in other foods... kim From: meganreville@... It's important to work with a doctor, in my opinion, if you feel that you child might be intolerant to a food. > > Can you tell me a little more about dairy? Why is it bad? > _________________________________________________________________ Windows 7: It works the way you want. Guest guest
Hi. In my sons case after eliminating dairy at 18 months just seemed more " with it " . Seriously like the dairy was weighing him down and clouding his brain. The first 2 weeks after eliminating dairy were the worse. I was in tears all day long with J's withdrawal symptoms. Such as banging his head and screeching all day long but it got better! He started answering to his name and like I said seemed more alert. Also his chronic constipation went away after eliminating dairy and switching to rice milk too(Crazy since I always thought that rice was binding) Eliminating dairy probably doesn't work for everybody but it has helped my son ..  " love all, trust a few, do wrong to none " From: jeninwpg <jeninwpg@...> Subject: [ ] Re: New member introducing myself to all of you Date: Thursday, November 26, 2009, 3:11 PM  Kids with developmental delays often have food intolerances/ allergies and dairy is one of the common reactive foods along with gluten, soy, etc. The body reacts badly to the foods which can cause complicated negative reactions in the body. That's why it's a good thing to look into allergies. ~Jen > > Can you tell me a little more about dairy? Why is it bad? >
Guest guest
My son is gluten and dairy free also. His allergy to gluten was so severe it was damaging his brain. We are about to hit our 2 year mark without either one and the progress is amazing. I agree that although it may not be the answer for everyone it is worth looking into.
