Guest guest
Cheryl: Do you think she could have any anxiety? My daughter is four and had does not have apraxia, but she kind of went through what you are describing. Our developmental Pediatrician put her on a low dose of Paxil and she is a different child. Our Dr's words were she is very anxious and she does not want to be this way or act this way she just cannot help it. Both my Dad and I have OCD and sometimes it is in the genes. While we have to be very careful with these meds, they can sometimes be a blessing. E mail me anytime. Jen In a message dated 8/11/2009 8:20:53 A.M. Guest guest
yes,Jen I do think she has anxiety, and you mentioned ocd, which when she goes into a behavior unbalance like this she also has ocd behaviors-like having to touch some things, or licking the tip of her finger, which looks like a nervous habit--but only when she is " reved up like this. It is more than just anxiety I think.Does your daughter have to take the paxil for a long time, or is it something rfelatively short term ,like 6 months, for her body to " Unwind " and adjust? Thanks for the input. Cheryl > > Cheryl: Do you think she could have any anxiety? My daughter is four and > had does not have apraxia, but she kind of went through what you are > describing.
