the thing to keep in mind about chromosomal abnormalities is that there

is no direct relationship between them and speech issues--not a clear cut

relationship---just a correlation. Just because DS is very often associated with

speech issues and hypotonia and MR and many other things--does not in and of

itself explain exactly the mechanisms by which these happen in these kids.

Correlation is NOT causation--so often this is forgotten--even by medical

professionals who should know better and seek better treatments for their most

vulnerable patients.

What is often found to be the case is that chromosomal abnormalities lead to

faulty metabolic processing, enzyme production and impaired methylation, and

detoxification pathways--which in turn lead to various neurological/endocrine

and autoimmune disorders--just like in the rest of the individuals who may not

have a known chromosomal abnormality--but chances are many do--and this is why

environmental triggers affect them more than the rest of the population and they

are more prone to develop various disorders--but just the fact that they have

the chromosomal abnormalities does not fully explain these disorders.

It is always an interaction with the environment and those with chromosomal

abnormalities are less equipped to deal with the various environmental

toxins--foods included--if certain digestive enzymes are missing.

This is why biomedical interventions--diet/supplements can help these kids so

much regardless of their chromosomal issues. It is a trial and error as in most

kids--but there is a lot of hope--don't let the abnormality stop you from

seeking to optimize neurological, metabolic and immune functioning in your

child.

All the best,

Elena

I would also like more info for my son who isn't just apraxic. He has

Chromosome 22q11.2 Duplication Syndrome. Has it been shown to help those

with chromosomal reasons for their speech problems?

Hello,

I am new to the group. I have a non-verbal autistic son of 6 and half years

old (before the age of three he was saying tens of words but gradually

stopped talking).

I have been reading several positive messages here on Nutriiveda.

Do you think that Nutriiveda would help my son? Is there any study about

Nutriiveda (including the ingredients and the side effect)? I will see our

naturopath and our homeopath next week and hoping to hand them the study in

order to decide whether we'll start Nutriiveda or not.

Thank you in advance,

Eisser from Switzerland

Thank you so much Elena! I have ordered some NV and it should arrive in a

week or so. Can't wait to try it and I am also going to have him tested for

food allergies and mineral deficiencies very soon.
