Guest guest
Congratulations to Tanner. Has anyone else noticed changes in reflexes? > > This morning we were getting ready for school and Tanner had asked me to make him egg salad for lunch today. So I had the eggs in a bowl on the ledge between the double sink we have so I could run cold water on the eggs and was one by one pulling them out of the bowl to shell them. Tanner was standing there drinking his NV and watching me and after I pulled one of the eggs out the bowl it tipped but not all the way into the sink because Tanner quickly reached out his hand and caught it. > > Tanner: " Mommy did you see how quick my reflexes are?! I just caught that bowl " I have to say that like jumping over the bush this would rank high on Tanner's " NV has done so much good for me " list. He honestly had a look on his face of clear and utter shock. He said " I can't believe I caught that it was so quick...how did I do that? " We both looked at each other and said " nutriiveda " > > Tanner previous to NV...his reflexes slightly slower than the norm so just all of a sudden quick reflex would be awesome in itself, but in addition to the quick reflex HE WAS ONCE AGAIN MULTI TASKING!!! Multi tasking again is something that Tanner never did prior to NV at 13 years old and it would frustrate him if you asked him too. He would do one thing at a time -that was Tanner. > > Cut to today: > > Tanner remember was holding his NV drink with one hand, watching me make the egg salad as I was answering his question about how people used to make eggs salad in the " old days " (when I was little I guess ha!) Guest guest
That is awesome, I wanted to post that I did notice that my son does multitask more. For example, he used to drink something and sit or stand in one place, but now he walks around with drinks or finger foods, also holding something in one hand and throwing something out with the other. He used to put down the one thing first and then do the 2nd thing. I think this is another positive result. Also my daughter Lily, can now hold her cereal bowl up in the air and eat her cereal while watching TV! ( well the TV part is not that great but they have to have some vices too!) Anybody else seeing this? ~~Dawn Falley NY 631-447-0615 [;] > > This morning we were getting ready for school and Tanner had asked me to make him egg salad for lunch today. Guest guest
Ummm " in the old days " ???? Lol , you are the first and only person I've ever heard of having an electric hard boiled egg machine! And blech to that, my Green self might add. ;-)~ Bek Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] Re: Can I get a shout out for yet another Tanner update?!! Guest guest
I can always count on you Bek to crack me up (pardon the pun!!!) Hey I didn't buy it -my MIL gave it to me as a gift for some reason when my boys were small -kind of looks like this http://www.uxsight.com/product/9163/hen-electric-egg-cooker-boiler-steamer-machi\ ne.html except mine is all white and yes (blek) it plugs in...but on the other hand I used to live in a house that ran on electric -and now if I boiled the egg I would use gas. It doesn't cook the egg with electric heat actually, you fill the bottom of the chicken with water and the electric boils the water. When the water is gone the chicken goes " cheep cheep cheep " and you unplug it and the eggs are perfectly hard boiled. If you want them soft boiled there is a line to put less water. So combo boil and electric -not much different than the stove we used to have in Jersey. So what is the greenest way to boil an egg...and with your busy life don't tell me you use sticks and a piece of flint to start a fire over a pit in your yard! =====
Guest guest
Thanks Dawn -and just to point out to others your 2 apraxic children are teens -and if off all the seizure meds now since being seizure free for 6 months since being on NV?!!! Please let us know!! Can you write something up for this page? http://pursuitofresearch.org/testimonials.html One other thing to note with the following story about Tanner was that he was holding his glass of NV with his right hand as he is right handed, so it wasn't just quick reflexes -but quick reflexes with his left hand. As of the middle of October Tanner will be on NV for one year and we just noted this the other day -so clearly there are things that I'm seeing that some of you may not see for a few months -but the multi tasking was something I noticed within the first few months. One other thing is on the way home from school the other day Tanner was giving me the whole scoop on current events on those poor miners who will be trapped in the mine until they believe Christmas -and what is planned for them, how NASA is helping etc. He was non stop talk and I thought how it's been awhile since we updated his talking page so called up Bilker and Tanner told him for a second time the story of the miners. It wasn't as good as the first time but thought it was excellent. It should be up on the Talking Page in about 2 weeks when 's got the time to put it up there. Will let all know when it's up there! =====
