Guest guest
Hi My therapist uses the Kaufman cards with my daughter. She works from the front to the back. From what I can gather the cards are already in the order that they need to be in for our apraxic kids. My therapist explained how you move from cvcv words with the same consonents like baby to cvcv with different consonents like honey. It's best they master each level before they move on to the next. Hope that helps. > > My son lost his wonderful ST and now I am on my own with these cards. (i have basic level set) > > My son has been on section " VC " for many months, and can do them most of the time- sometimes the top line. > > Do I just go through them from front to back- or what is the general sound practice order for our kids? if it varies from child to child- how will I ever figure it out? if he has trouble with one group- shall I move on to another section..and try the previous at another time? > > I have the Kaufman manual that came with the cards- yet I am not able to understand most of it! > > In other words- I don't want to do any harm..but am I making these cards more complicated than they really are? > > Also- should I push our new ST to work with him with these cards? she has NO experience with these. > > thank you for your help, > Iveta >
