Hi Sheryl!

Even though I have put dosages here http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html they

are for a good starting estimate. What I have learned since I first came up with

dosages (which I went by NIH guidelines and which are being approved by doctors

all over at this point) is that the product is 100 percent water soluble and all

the nutrients in it are from whole food sources which is the purest, most easily

digestible and balanced form of supplementation. The only ingredients are what

is on the ingredient list http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html As we

have found as a group and as Marni just shared -yes the product is very dosage

dependent.

I don't know if I shared this before but Tanner hasn't been on 4 scoops since

some parents shared with me that their doctor's raised their children's dosages

up to 6 scoops. And yes not only did we see more surges with the increase, (it's

when Tanner started jumping over the bushes as well as everything else) but

increased surges with increased dosage is being reported by other parents and

professionals. Just like decrease of dosage is being reported with regressions.

I would suggest to anyone looking to raise dosage to consult with the child's

doctor, remember it's whole food/water soluble with no known side effects

(outside of allergy which is possible with any food), and start with a 1/4 or

1/2 scoop increase...but at this point there are many 3 year olds on 2 scoops a

day. There are 4 and 5 year olds on 3 scoops, 8 year olds on 4 scoops, and quite

a few children over 9 years old on anything between 4 to 6 scoops. In addition

most of us start with a level and quickly go to a heaping scoop. I had joked

that my scoops are starting to look like little mountain peaks that I have to

carefully maneuver over to the blender without spilling any of the precious

powder!

One thing to keep in mind with raising dosage is that there are very few things

that appear to make a difference outside of dosage when it comes to NV. Outside

of dosage -hydration is so important as well. Remember body weight divided in

half is = to about the amount of ounces per day your child should consume.

I do have one other story to share. is from Ohio and she is the

parent's who's neurologist from Kent University is putting in writing the

remarkable and unheard of surge in her 5 and a half year old child diagnosed as

profound apraxia who within months on NV the neuro and SLP were shocked that the

child is now testing as mild moderate apraxia. He's on 2 heaping scoops a day

which she said she thinks is the same as 3 level (may be never checked)

's older son is also apraxic but he's more mild than her younger

one...or should say he WAS more mild. Her younger son had much more dramatic

surges than her older one and she had just asked me the other day why do I think

that is as one is 5 and a half and one is 7 and a half and they are both on the

2 heaping scoops a day.

Without hesitation I told her to check with her doctor and raise the 7 and a

half year old up...for sure we have quite a few on 3 heaping scoops a day. So I

know she's going to do that and I hope that she shares her update here. And

Sheryl please do share your update here as well once you raise the dosage! If

you have any other questions please share -or call me 772 335 5135.

Thanks!
