What Dr. will I need to see first to confrim Apraxia?

Hello Everyone,

I am a new mom for this group and recently my 2 and 8 months old just got

approved from EI program for 30 min. twice a week services from both special

instructor and speach thearpist eventhough she has not been clinically diagnosed

as a Apraxia child. I am happy for the services, because I know she really

needs all the help she can get.

I really like to know where to start to get a correct diagnose for Apraxia

child. Who should we see first besides her primary Ped. Dr.! I recently took

her to see an ENT dr and he cleared her hearing is normal....Thank God! This

week I will take her to see Allergy Dr. to see what allergy she might have and I

do hope everything will be OK! Now, what is next....a Neurologist Ped dr? I

really want to test her Vitamin and Mineral levels and will a Neurologist Ped

Dr. perform the tests? or I have to see a Metabolic specialist for those

levels? I am confused and lost at this point! If anyone can help by point me

to the correct direction I'll be greatly appreciated.
