Guest guest
Hello Robin,  Does your son like to eat dark chocolate? I get to let my 2 years and 8 months old first eat a piece of dark cranberry flavored chocolate and when she is through half way I let her chew up one capsule of the fish oil and follow up with another piece of dark chocolate. She seems like it a lot and she even eat up the outer gel. I hope this trick will hope you!  Take Care,   From: Robin <tinyrobdavis@...> Subject: [ ] needs tips on giving supplements Date: Tuesday, December 15, 2009, 1:50 PM  Hello, I posted a few months ago about my 4 and a half year old son's aggression issues. He has been diagnosed privately with oral apraxia. We have no health insurance and as many people on here suggested I have him on the waiting list through the school system for evaluation. In addition, I have bought and read the book by Dr Brock " Healing the new childhood epidemic. I would like to extend my gratitude for the people who reccomended I read this book. It was wonderful, informative, and touching.Anyway, to get to my point. I know I should wait to start supplements until after his evaluation, however, we are frustrated, exhausted and Levi's older brother is at his wits end with him. Levi hits and throws things and we need some releif and so does Levi. So I have started the first tier of the healing program and have eliminated casein. I have seen some encouraging improvements in his behavior. I am having a hard time getting the cod liver oil and the crushed pills down him. Ihave tried several different ways and bribes but it is quite a battle and I dont want to traumatize him. Ive tried mixing it in applesauce and juice. He is very sensitive to smells so the cod liver oil is quite a problem. Just wondered if anyone has found a way to do it that worked well for them. Thank you so much for all the great information here. Warmly, Robin
Guest guest
I give my son the nordic naturals 3 6 9 for kids lemon flavor. I call it his lemon candy and follow it with gummi vite and juice or milk. He chews it up and says Yum! The capsules are smaller than the adult size. > > Hello, > I posted a few months ago about my 4 and a half year old son's aggression issues. Guest guest
Will you child eat yogurt or apple sauce? We put my son's supplements in coconut yogurt. It tastes really good, is very thick and is casein free. Also, you could mix the fish oil in lemonade, oj or chocolate rice or hemp milk. I puncture the capsule suck it up in a syringe and add what ever liquid to disguise the taste. He doesn't need it anymore,he just does it plain but that is what worked in the beginning. good luck!@ le > > Hello Robin, >  > Does your son like to eat dark chocolate? I get to let my 2 years and 8 months old first eat a piece of dark cranberry flavored chocolate and when she is through half way I let her chew up one capsule of the fish oil and follow up with another piece of dark chocolate. She seems like it a lot and she even eat up the outer gel. I hope this trick will hope you! >  > Take Care, >  >
