Guest guest
Hi I was talking to a friend who works in the school system and is somewhat familiar with the process to get children services through the school system. I told her the school has a PPCD 5-day program that is 1/2 day each day, and I don't want to put my child in a 5-day program. I would prefer 2 days. He is 3.5 and pretty mild in his disorder. I homeschool my oldest, so it goes against my schooling philosophy as well. She said that she *thinks* I can still put him in for 2-days a week, but they won't tell me I can do that because they don't want to advertise it....and they would make less $$$ with him being in less time. Has anyone done this or know if this is true? Just trying to figure out my rights with the school system. We live in Texas. Thanks! Guest guest
I live in Oregon and my son goes to a preschool, and I know I wanted him to go as many days a week as possible and the school wanted to start at 2 days a week. I think it depends on the child, the parents and the school. If you want you child to go a set number of days, they should comply with it.
