Guest guest
The DVDs (verbs and nouns) are good for building receptive language but we did not get much out of any of the others in the Teach to Talk collection. I have a 2 yr old former micropreemie who has caught up in all areas except his expressive speech. We've been signing with him and doing speech therapy with him 2x week. I'm trying EVERYTHING I can with him and was wondering if anyone has used the Teach Me to Talk DVD? It's quite expensive and before I order it, I would appreciate any input on it's value? Also, we just started on fish oil today....I could use a few encouraging words on this topic too! How long before results are noticed? Guest guest
Haven't used that dvd but have you heard about the Singing Sounds music cd the cheapest place online I found to buy it is www.songsforteaching.com it is an awesome cd and has helped both my kids so much! They love to listen to the music and it teaches them sounds and words in a fun way and they try to sing along with it. It is developed by an SLP and was recommended by our SLP. It is like $13 or so, so very reasonable and the songs don't drive me nuts either. But they have made a big impact on both of my son's and their speech. Also, there are some music cd's by Learning Express Train you can check them out at www.thespecialneedsstore.com. They are alittle more pricey, I just ordered them so we will see how they work but they looked really good. They had clips you could listen to on another site. Hope this helps!
