Guest guest
Does your little one like almond milk? I have found that my kids drink it down super fast like a tasty treat when I mix it with vanilla almond milk. I am not a milk drinker but when I tasted it this way it tasted like melted chocolate ice cream to me. I don’t have to add syrup or anything. I fill a sippy cup a little more than ¾ of the way with almond milk then pour it over one scoop of NV (my boys are 2 and 3) in a bigger cup and blend really well with a Kitchenaid hand mixer until it very smooth. I think put it back in the sippy and the boys inhale it. I have tried unsweetened almond milk (they didn’t like it that way since the NV isn’t very sweet on it’s own but they would drink it slowly) and regular almond milk which they like ok. I also tried regular cow’s milk and although they drink it that way it takes a lot more prodding. If your little one is too old for a sippy cup, maybe try a straw cup or a regular cup with straw. They seem to drink it faster this way. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of kiddietalk Sent: Sunday, September 12, 2010 9:24 PM Subject: [ ] Re: How long does canister of NV last? Hi Gwen, There are 30 scoops per canister so one canister at 2 scoops lasts around 2 weeks. At 1 scoop a day around a month. You don't say your child's age but I have dosage here http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html There are serving suggestions here http://pursuitofresearch.org/serving_suggestions.html Some people think that buying the chocolate milk (and that means any kind from cows milk, to almond, soy...all have chocolate milk) is easier to disguise the NV in then powders like Nestle's Quick or Hershey syrup...but as just updated with her new blog her son prefers water to NV mixed with milk and ice cream. And a word to all those nervous about which flavor...once you get it in for a few days- the taste grows on them in almost all cases. Some do start at the lower dosage and work up...whatever makes you comfortable. NV is one hundred percent food and water soluble. I highly recommend you check it out with a medical professional who knows about nutrition -or a nutritionist -even a PhD...someone who can let you know this is a very healthy food -some actually are recommending even higher dosages. In our world today we have learned not to question what comes from a store, fast food wrapper or pharmacy -but be critical with all you put into your body or serve to your children today -not just what is healthy or what we think is healthy. Coming soon to a store near you (and as it says you won't be able to tell the " real " from genetically altered foods) http://newsfeed.time.com/2010/09/08/would-you-eat-genetically-altered-meat/ And great article about this from neurologist Martha Herbert MD PhD https://wiki.brown.edu/confluence/download/attachments/31602/whatisgefood.pd f?version=1 <https://wiki.brown.edu/confluence/download/attachments/31602/whatisgefood.p df?version=1 & modificationDate=1186367598000> & modificationDate=1186367598000 =====
