Guest guest
He actually raised my dose, but had me split it up to twice a day. So I went from 3 grains in the morning to 2 grains in morning and 2 grains in evening. I just gave more blood so we will see how that works CW -- FTI Crystal, You wrote: > ... Your doc is likely to cut back a bit on your medication. Chuck
Guest guest
Crystal, Did he say why he increased your dose when your TSH is already suppressed and your T7 is high? Also, why did he take more blood again already? How soon since the dose change? Guest guest
It was 4 weeks. He says that my tests were taken a few hours after taking meds and that my t3 was spiked, but that by evening my metabolism is so slow and that is why I have been gaining weight (10 lbs in the last year). Since taking my meds twice a day, I lost 2 lbs (in 4 weeks). Make since? I fell like I just confused my self lol. Guest guest
HI Crystal. Very interesting actually. How can they tell our evening metabolism is so slow? I feel I have the same thing... I break up my meds into divided doses, always have. Do you feel any different on the higher dose? Glad to hear you lost 2 lbs on your new dose, way to go! sue On 10/23/08 10:25 PM, " Crystal " <sweetnwright@...> wrote: > > > > It was 4 weeks. Guest guest
Nancie and Crystal, You wrote: > It made sense to me. > Me too. With a T3 med, splitting can be the equivalent of an overall reduction. Drawing blood shortly after taking the meds will definitely spike the T7. It would not suppress the TSH, though. That changes too slowly. However, splitting could bring the TSH back up. Chuck
Guest guest
I'm not sure how they can tell, but that with hypos have slow metabolisms without meds and with Armour, by the time evening rolls around, my metabolism is slow. I feel the same I suppose. I have 5 kids so I'm always tired1 CW -- Re: FTI HI Crystal. Very interesting actually. How can they tell our evening metabolism is so slow? I feel I have the same thing...
