this seems to be a problem with a lot of people. My husband doesn't sleep

much at all (I would guess maybe 5 hours a night average) and has big

problems with appetite control. Perhaps sleeping pills would solve both

problems. Wonder if it's worth a try?

Also as people age, they sleep less and as we all know with age comes middle

age spread. Correlation?

Maybe there is a correlation. This is a case of an easy hypothesis

to test, assuming one can actually get to sleep and stay that way for a

while. I take melatonin, which is how I get the 6+ hours.

As a 30 year old, I slept 4 or 5 hours a night, and during

that time usually had nightmares. I was hungry then, too.

That's how I gained the weight. Anyway, it can be tested on

an individual basis. If it works, it works. If it doesn't

nothing lost.

I copied the article and sent it to my cpa friend, Ted.

I called him at 8:30 this morning. Turns out he'd been awake (not

doing tax returns, but a toothache) most of the night.

He'd been asleep about an hour when I phoned. He seemed

to appreciate the call that woke him up to tell him it would be easier

to do cr if he'd get more sleep. He was very polite....considering.
