Guest guest
my son never responded to time-outs either. i had to look at what would be most painful to him. i take away toys and sometimes i just keep taking until he listens. if we make it through a shopping trip, etc. without him losing any toys, when we get home he can choose one to take out again. at first, i didn't always take a favorite toy - just random. as he started to realize it may be while till he got something back, i started taking the good stuff. i have also started having him practice doing something gently or with words after he does something that hurts someone else. i would strongly recommend a gluten, casein, soy free diet. then look at other things to see if any other foods affect him. i am also starting him on Enhansa. you can get it w/o prescription but w/a prescription, some insurances will pay for it. the compounding pharmacy Lee Silsby has it. it is a pure form of curcumin and helps with yeast, inflammation, and immune function in general. many autistics are having success with that as well as a probiotic from custom probiotics that is d-lactate free. it seems that as you help a child feel better, everything improves. > > Hello > My son is 4 1/2 years old and has been diagnosed privately with apraxia.
