brain spectroscopy -- clinical indications to get this covered by Blue Cross?

Has anyone had any luck getting a brain spectroscopy approved by Blue Cross? My

son had one done (and denied through appeal) and I believe that neurologist

listed " hypotonia " as the clinical indication. Even though the test came back

as borderline abnormal, it was NOT covered!!! Now the new neurologist would

like a repeat of the spectroscopy (and my daughter also needs one as she is

presenting with similar issues/apraxia)... VERY EXPENSIVE if not covered but I

see why he wants it to be repeated... borderline results from the previous one

done exactly a year ago.

HELP!
