Guest guest
Hello , I take it that your subject line is also your post. What do you list as heart disease risk factors? There are many such as high fat diet, high sugar intake, high salt intake, obesity to name just a few. When you ask about CR, are you asking just about the calorie restriction aspect or are you also taking into account the optimal nutrition (ON). Deficiency of one or several minerals markedly affect blood cholesterol levels. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend reading " Beyond the 120 Year Diet " by Roy Walford. He discusses CRON in depth as it relates to heart disease as well as cancer, diabetes, et alii. It can be ordered over the internet through his website at: http://walford.com You can also download some free software there and there is plenty to read at his site also. Several members have posted previously about lowered blood pressure and lowered blood cholesterol levels after being on CRON. Personally, I began CRONing in earnest since January 2002 and previously always had normal blood pressure (120/80). I tested again two weeks ago and my readings were 114/64. My cholesterol in October 2000 was 283 with an HDL of only 38. It had been well over 200 for at least 10 years. I'm getting it rechecked on June and I'll let everyone know my results. Hope this helps. Bob >
Guest guest
My blood pressure went from 130/80 to 110/65. My pulse went from 80 to 60. My cholesterol went from 199 total, with 54 HDL to 172 total with 67 HDL. Some of this might be attributed to weight loss - I went from 153 to 120 lbs. The previous high pulse rate was something I've had all my life and runs in my family - even when I was young and thin. The improvement are not due to exercise. I have not increased my level of aerobic exercise.
