Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, I live in southern New Jersey currently and am just trying to network to find professionals are who are specialized in knowing how to treat children with apraxia such as: educational consultant, neuropysch, reading specialist, etc My daughter is now 8 and while she is talking pretty well (she was very severe until 2 years ago I'll say), we are having a ton of struggles with academics and most of it has to do with poor programming/educators she has had. So I am casting the net to find some people who might be able to help me privately in the meantime that really understand apraxia. We have a wonderful private SLP but that doesn't cover reading and other academics. I am willing to travel so coming to Northern New Jersey or NYC is not an issue. I live close to Philadelphia as well and am putting out many feelers here too. Any assistance is appreciated. I am also curious if you know if there are any good private special education schools in Northern Jersey that are good for children with apraxia and language struggles. thanks again, Jerre jbeharris@...>
