Guest guest
autism and apraxia are on the rise. there is a link to the shots. Your child sounds like classic autism when they lost words at 15 months that is usually due to mmr. If you do a urine test with a local DAN! dr you might find some amazing things. Not in a good way. My daughter has mercury, lead, arsnic, alluminum and many others I can not spell from the shots. Her body isn't strong enough to detox like a typical child so we will be giving her chelation meds in about a month after a full year of giving her strengthening meds. From: onevoiceschool <onevoiceschool@...> Subject: [ ] New to group..have a couple questions Date: Sunday, January 17, 2010, 8:16 PM  My Daughter who is now almost 6 has a Dyspraxia diagnosis from from neurologist who did'nt know how else to explain it. All MRI, and medabolic tests were normal but she scooted instead of crawled and was late walking (18 mo.)tho sitting up & rolling over normal.Everything was normal until that except the scooting. She even had a few words at 12 mo. then around 15 mo-18mo lost them and only said " ba " and Da.@ 21 mo. was the first time i was told she may have oral apraxia, and her dyspraxia or motor planning was pretty noticable then.even a lil shakey in the trunk.we have been in various therapies and her body awareness and sensory processing is so improved she amazes everyone who knew her before. My questions are can a fever cause this or birth and is global dyspraxia and dyspraxia essentially the same? The school district tried to diagnos mild MR at 5, but luckily her therapists rallied with me and disputed that. Doesnt seem fair when they are so young and how can a standard test accomidate apraxia.Thanks. .ps I also Home School our daughter.
Guest guest
Thx , we have had extensive testing and she was found not to be on the spectrum. I know that Apraxia and Autism do sometimes go hand in hand. The speech issues are very similiar, there is otherwise no other symptoms(behavior or metabolic) in our case. Also I'm told SPD also can run though both groups as well.We still do a lot of the the same treatments tho..omegas, probiotics, vits, detox type stuff. I do think however they most likely have something to do with shots too. Boy, it's been quite a journey as you must very well know.... > > My Daughter who is now almost 6 has a Dyspraxia diagnosis from from neurologist who did'nt know how else to explain it. Guest guest
hello there " onevoiceschool " , Can I ask you a question, how are you coping or handling homeschooling your child with dyspraxia? I ask because I find it to be a struggle with my daughter. Sometimes I really get frustrated like my best is not good enough for her to progress. My daughter is turning 6 years old next month, with a diagnosis of apraxia by SLP (which I agree), about 4 months ago a MRI that was done found that some neurons in a certain part of her brain have " underdeveloped coverings " , After preschool I decided to homeschool her because of the classrooms her school district offered her and the doctors label her MR (which I don't agree with simply because the basis of their examines for labeling require speech). > > My Daughter who is now almost 6 has a Dyspraxia diagnosis from from neurologist who did'nt know how else to explain it.
