This is a great idea. I know of one orthopedic

surgeon locally here who has messed up big

time on many surgeries and has lawsuits pending

all over the place. The doctor I saw last week

has repaired many many of his screw-ups but

only smiled when I asked him about it.

What amazes me is doctors will not talk down

another doctor no matter how bad he is. Kind

of like another profession.

Good luck to you and I hope your site is a huge

success.

Sherry

Hi All,My name is Alon and I would like to introduce a new website that Ihave just launched called http://www.doctors911.com.What's special about doctors911.com is that it enables people tofreely express their opinions on doctors they've been visiting and ofcourse, read other peoples' reviews about doctors in their area.I came up with this idea once I was looking for a Family Doctor andhad a really hard time finding one. It seemed so strange to me that Icouldn't find any online resources to help me although reviews andopinions exist all over the net for almost any product or service. Youcan find reviews about a digital camera but not about a surgeon youurgently seeking. The website is newly launched and I would appreciate any feedback, comments and opinions about it and the idea in general.Kind Regards,Alon Rachimihttp://www.doctors911.comPS: I really do not intend to spam but rather get feedbacks on thisproject I truly believe in. I apologize in advance if someone seesthis email as spam.

Hi Natasha,

I'm sorry I haven't had any experience with this. My son only tanked when we

stopped treatment. Since your daughter hasn't stopped or changed treatment I

only have 3 thoughts (but I'm certainly no doctor!): 1. yes, maybe hormones 2.

maybe another infection is kicking in 3. maybe this is a normal part of

treatment/recovery. I think we have the same doctor. Fax him to let him know

what's happening.

I'm sorry for you and your daughter.

Elaine

Hi all --

My daughter just turned thirteen today. She has been in treatment since last

August and really seemed to have turned the corner a month ago -- back in school

for almost 4 straight weeks, energy, happy ... then about 2 weeks ago she

tanked. I chalked it up to estrogen surge with PMS, then to the barometric

pressure (lots of rain). A week went by and I expected her to get better.

Another week. Her birthday party was on Saturday and she went to see Wicked

with a couple of friends -- huge treat. She fell asleep halfway through the

second act of the afternoon show. She rested all day yesterday and today, woke

up with excruciating pain and bone-tired. She just woke up and is reading in

bed. Happy Birthday :0(

So my question -- have you had kids who went through much treatment, then got

better, then a LOT worse and if so how did you address it and how long was the

setback generally speaking? Because my daughter is still a lot better than when

she was seen in October (when we switched to a great LLMD from an overly

experimental one) but she is in rough shape.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks

Natasha

Natasha - what state do you live in?  Here in WI there is a terrible viral

thing going around and my 11 year old daughter was sick with it for over four

weeks - the regular doctor told me that many kids are very fatigue and sick with

this virus - but they have no idea what it is............Diane :(     HAPPY

BIRTHDAY :)

California.  It doesn't seem to be viral -- but I just realized that we are

expecting a week of rain and I think that may explain it all.  She's rallied

(ish) for a birthday dinner at Chevy's and is desperate to get back to school,

where a very nice boy has a crush on her.  The benefits of being 13, and the

best bribe for getting back to school! :0)

Hi Natasha,

My sympathies for you and your daughter. We did have that experience but it

almost always had a cause we could pinpoint. Sometimes she would simply overdo.

I still have to ride her to get her to get propper rest even though she's been

pretty well for over a year. Still if she doesn't get the propper sleep or eats

the wrong thing, she pays, usually with exhaustion, pain and brain fog, even

now. The rule here is no sleepover unless it's a Saturday night, so she can get

her rest before she has to go back to school and very, very little simple sugars

and flour products. She also has several food allergies. And she has to be in

bed by 9PM on weeknights. It stinks when you're 15 but it seems to be the only

way to keep her as close to 100% as we can.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

Annie

Hello friends,

A friend of mine who has been working with my two sons and several other

special needs children is planning to create a website. He would like to

make available books, educational toys, and devices as well as links to

service providers and possibly a place to make used equipment available to

others (things your child may have outgrown but may be useful to someone

else, etc.).

He is looking for ideas and input as to:

- What would be most useful or helpful to you as a parent

- Any particular needs that you feel are not being adequately addressed or

not addressed at all (Transition from school to internship programs, for

example).

It is his hope that this site will become a useful resource and generate

enough to cover maintenance expenses.

Your time, thoughts and input are greatly appreciated!

I am wondering if he has any ideas on enlarging fonts (words or letters for

children that have difficulty with seeing/focusing on words while reading. I

have called the Enabling device company and they haven't come up with a plan and

when I went to Office Depot they have a heavy sheet of plastic that enlarges but

only if the child has a real steady hand and can hold the enlarger a couple

inches away from the item he wants to read???? I am thinking of getting my

daughter a Kindle as the fonts supposedly can be enlarged but there is very

little childrens reading material available My daughter is reading approx 1st

greade level.

Thanks for any ideas you or your friend may have...
