Product has only been out since around October -ayurvedic, metabolic weight

management health product -no known side effects, gluten, casein, lactose, fat,

sodium, free, 100 percent natural, no drug interactions, developed and endorsed

by world renowned medical doctors Deepak Chopra MD and Simon MD...was not

developed for children but by mistake I found it created a surge in my son

Tanner who is 13 (reported by his school noticed by all professionals) I shared

with Robin for her 25 year old daughter Mel who was misdiagnosed all her life as

mentally retarded and autistic -like my son Tanner, Mel's background is well

documented by many professionals -please read blog to see remarkable surges that

started from day one. Three taken off the nutriiveda for various reasons that

had been surging regressed in a day or two. The product is full meal and

vitamin replacement but isn't just for weight loss -it also helps those kids who

don't eat enough or well. Nourishes the body with 10 grams of isolate protein

which is the most easily digestible per serving. All vitamins and minerals and

essential amino acids are in each serving too -some interesting studies just

published on this which may explain some of what we are seeing? (here's one

http://www.sflorg.com/comm_center/medical/p974_99.html ) Can be made into a

shake mixed with water or juice or any type of milk (soy, almond etc.) Can also

be mixed into food such as yogurt, pudding, peanut butter, (even heard ice

cream) Can also be sprinkled on food like cereal, oatmeal or pancakes etc.

Depends what child likes.

Price 40 dollars per canister -30 scoops per canister in either chocolate or

vanilla.

Dosage used so far OK'd by child's doctors (so far all doctors both traditional

medical and alternative as well as nutritionist approved by all and most MDs

have said " don't know if it will help with speech but can't hurt and should add

some good nutrition " )

Birth to three - one scoop a day (can be split into half scoop twice a day)

Four to Eight -two scoops a day (can be split into 1 scoop twice a day)

Nine and up to adult -can take up to four scoops a day -recommended to split 2

scoops 2x a day. If you need to lose weight you will on this and quickly -if

you don't you won't (those that needed to gain weight gained) works with the

body. reports from adults using it for weight loss -tons of energy, focus, no

more cravings. For adults too appear to support metabolic system- metabolism

appears to rejuvenate. (being used by some of our parents, grandparents, and

professionals as well) Used 2x a day comes out to around $2.70 for full meal and

vitamin replacement. Again does not have to be for weight loss and can be

served with food. (won't be able to eat as much food however)

Most parents are reporting surges within a week. Here are some of the reports

so far from various kids:

For apraxia and autism:

More babble/or even all of a sudden talking in full or fuller sentences

More focus (biggie)

Seems to be more aware of what's around -more interested in what's around

For autism -more eye contact, pointing,, following gaze and interest of others

and what's around

For ADHD -I know of 3 teens now that went from poor to B C students (one on

medication and bounced from school to school) who went to STRAIGHT A STUDENTS

-that so much needs to be looked into!!!! My son Tanner isn't ADHD -but his

school also called me to report a surge -his grades have gone up

Seizures -

Mel who almost died of seizures- no seizure activity at all, no headaches, since

being on the nutriiveda -meds have been lowered once and are about to be lowered

again. This is within 6 weeks.

My son Tanner's fish oil dosage has been cut in half and for the first time no

regression -he continues to surge.

Negative so far

hyper...Sowmya's son and he also increased in speech (but this was also when the

teacher reported more focused in school - but at home he was hyper) Sowmya took

him off for just a few days and he noticeably regressed in speech. She put him

back on and now she says that even though it may look like hyper - it's not so

much hyper as he's more interested in everything around him. Teacher asks

Sowmya what she's doing differently with her son -notices improvement. When

Sowmya says " today? " She says " no past 4 days " while her son was on the

nutriiveda.

Barbara CCC SLP is going to stat interviewing parents and the

professionals that work with the kids on the nutriiveda to see if we can get

information that's professional anecdotal instead of just from us the parents.

One of the big questions I'm getting is for autism/biomedical and all the other

supplements etc. So far out of those I've spoken to that do biomedical they

talked with their child's doctor and tried pulling their children off everything

but fish oil and nutriiveda for a week. Most surges are within that first week

anyway so good to see what's working.

We are starting groups at BigTent

Barbara CCC SLP is meeting up with some neuroMDs in her area to discuss

and will be reporting what she's already seeing in her clients (very exciting!!)

She will be starting a section at Big Tent to answer questions from parents and

professionals

Sowmya has volunteered to help answer questions about ayurveda

Jolie Abreu and Robin Ketchum will be starting a section to keep everyone up to

date with Mel's updates and where you can ask questions and keep track

Dawen Wong offered to start a section at Big Tent for those that speak Chinese

and to share what she's seeing in her autistic son on the nutriiveda

If anyone wants to start a section on anything (not just nutriiveda since we

have a few that want to start sections on this already) just email me

lisa@...

Any other professionals that want to interview any of the families let me know!

Very interesting!

Ayurvedic ingredients

Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre)Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre) Often called the “sugar

destroyer,” Gymnema has been used by Ayurvedic healers to help support healthy

blood sugar levels for thousands of years. In addition, Gymnema supports a

healthy metabolism and acts as a catalyst for the weight management activity of

Garcinia.

Guggul

Guggul (Commiphora mukul)

Known as the “fat killer” in Ayurvedic medicine, Guggul is a powerful resin

extract that comes from the small, thorny mukul myrrh tree. It is known in

Ayurveda for its ability to help rid the body of unwanted fat, increase cellular

fire, and support healthy cholesterol levels and liver function.

turmeric

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric root, one of the most widely studied botanicals today, is often

combined with Amalaki because of the duo’s potency and power. Turmeric works

to boost cardiovascular health by purifying the blood, regulating blood sugar

levels, supporting healthy insulin levels, and promoting a healthy inflammatory

response in the body.

GreenTea

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)

A powerful antioxidant, green tea contains high concentrated levels of EGCG that

neutralize toxic free radicals within the body. It also works to protect the

DNA, regulate blood sugar levels, increase thermogenesis, and boost energy.

amalaki

Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)

Known as the “great rejuvenator,” Amalaki is revered for over 5,000 years in

Ayurveda for its rejuvenating properties. This superfood promotes energy and

vitality, supports immune function, promotes the digestive system, stabilizes

blood sugar levels, and has an overall rejuvenating effect on the body required

during weight loss.

haritaki

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)

The date-like Haritaki fruit serves as a gentle and effective detoxifying agent

for the body. Through its astringent taste, the Haritaki stimulates the

metabolic fire of the cells and promotes the body’s ability to burn fat.

cinnamon

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum)

Used in the Vanilla version of NutriiVeda Cinnamon has a long history both as a

spice and as a medicine. Cinnamon aids with problems in the digestive system and

is high in antioxidants. Seasoning a high carb food with cinnamon can help

lessen its impact on your blood sugar levels. Cinnamon slows the rate at which

the stomach empties after meals, reducing the rise in blood sugar after eating.

Cayenne

Cayenne (Capsicum annuum)

Used in the Chocolate version of NutriiVeda Many herbalists believe that cayenne

acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used with

them. Cayenne is a medicinal and nutritional herb. Medicinally it aids in

elimination and assimilation and promotes the entire digestion system.

Nutritionally it is a very high source of Vitamins A and C, has the complete B

complexes, and is very rich in organic calcium and potassium.

Thanks!

PS even though my neighbor Laurie says I'm not allowed to say this and that

nobody cares about anything under a size 8..I effortlessly went from a size 4 to

a size 2 in about 2 months -and without this no matter how hard I tried and

worked out and watched what I ate -it's hard to lose those last few pounds.

Thanks !

Prior to starting NV, it would be great if you and your child’s SLP would

document a snapshot of his/her expressive/receptive and speech/oral motor

skill levels. It need not be a full report but just some notes about: #words

spoken (if still developing), exact consonants ©, vowels (V), and

combinations (CV, VC, etc) produced (ideally according to the PROMPT

hierarchy)---and CV combinations only if your child is having difficulty in

this area. Oral motor skills: grading, stability, coordination,

dissociation (separation of movement) of the jaw/lips/tongue.

Ok, so if your child is already on NV and you didn’t have a chance to

document it as above, just document it now according to skills preNV. Also

ask your child’s SLP to write down the above---it’s just a quick check of

the notes.

Yes, I will be starting a subgroup at BigTent –Ask the SLP---just give me a

few days to get it completed. J

Yes, I am so excited to see the changes in my clients. One of my clients

~3yrs, who has only been on the full scoop only since Sat 1/16, is already

making speech production changes. He put a /p/ sound at the end of a word!

He also had an approximation for /op/ for ‘open’---w/a /p/ sound which we

have been working on for a while. His mom noted that he cleaned up the

blocks in my waiting area w/o being asked. Can’t wait to see him next week!

I’ve been working with my clients on some “recipes” for using NV in either

shakes or other foods. More on that later.

Warmest wishes,

Barbara

Is this product only available in America at this stage. I'm in Australia, and

have been trying to find somewhere to purchase it (online), but I am having no

success. Thanks for any help.

Hi , I will be starting my little boy on the Nordic Naturals Pro-EFA this

week, then, as per your reccommendation, in a month or so I will be adding the

EPA.

Would you advise that I waited a while before trying him on the Nutriiveda, and

if so, about how long?

Oh, also, with regards to the fish oil, what is the 'average' time that it would

take for me to notice any positive signs of it benefitting him? I know this is

probably a really hard question, as all kids are different, but I want to get an

idea of how long I should persist with it for?
