Guest guest
, thanks for your response to my post so quickly. What is the recipe most of the parents use including yourself? Two ProEFA and ONE EPA capsules per day to start with OR, can I give One ProEFA and ONE EPA? I have read some parents talked about the 2:1 ratio (ProEFA : EPA), is that any important? Can I find more info on CHERAB web page?  Thank you so much for your time,   From: kiddietalk <kiddietalk@...> Subject: [ ] Re: What is the difference between Omega 3,6,9 or the ProEFA fish oil vs. EPA? Date: Friday, December 18, 2009, 5:21 PM  Hi , What we do is raise the EPA which like the nutriiveda I discovered by accident creates further surges than just increasing the ProEFA. If you raise the DHA -the other Omega 3 in the ProEFA my son regressed- many other here have tried and found the same. The only Omega 3 you can raise is the EPA. But you don't want to raise it too high or I guess the Omega 3 raises too high over the Omega 6. Many think you don't need the Omega 6 because it's in our diets which it is...but without the Omega 6 together with the Omega 3 -a small amount -the Omega 3 (EPA and DHA) doesn't work at all as well. I believe that there is a science to mixtures (nutriiveda is another example) but since I don't understand the synergistic blends of ayurvedic medicine either - let's look at baking a cake. You can leave the baking soda out and add it to the frosting instead...you' ll end up with a flat cake with icing. The fish oils appear simple when you first look at them...fish oils are all the same in a way when you first look at them. But dig into fish oils/PUFAs/EFAs and the more you learn the more you'll learn you don't know. They are very confusing. I don't know why they " work " yet -but can report on what works best for the majority over the past decade. Until we have research to explain why what we have is more powerful than anything else out there and in this case I trust our group's experience over the advice of anyone that doesn't know about our group's experience in almost all cases. =====
Guest guest
Hello, Can anyone give me a suggestion of how much EPA and DHA (in mg) should be effective for a 2 year old (30 lbs?) My son has his 2 year appointment with his regular pediatrician at the end of the month and I would like to talk over any suggested doses with him. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good Pediatric Neurologist or Developmental Pediatrician in the Northern Illinois or Southern Wisconsin area? Any information would be greatly appreciated! ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of kiddietalk Sent: Friday, December 18, 2009 4:21 PM Subject: [ ] Re: What is the difference between Omega 3,6,9 or the ProEFA fish oil vs. EPA?
