Lori - we used the a potty alarm (Malem brand)for my DD (the urologist finally

recommended one at age 9 - she(along w/ my other 2 kiddos have kidney reflux; 2

out of the 3 were/are bed wetters). The alarm worked great for her and I'm

anticipating having to use it for my son (he's only 4 and also has apraxia).

Anyway, I googled potty alarms and brought up the bedwetting store which has

multiple alarms on their site and a comparison chart. Our urologist suggested

another, but I liked this one; a bit pricey, but worth the $$$! Good luck.

Thanks! I just ordered one. My fingers are crossed that it will work. Matt is

9 right now and he WANTS to get through the night dry. Hopefully his motivation

AND the alarm will do the trick!

Lori, My DD has stopped using the alarm (yeah!) and is staying dry by herself.

I think she really used it longer than needed, but if it was the reassurance she

needed, so what - it worked!!! She was ready to be done w/ the good nite pull

ups, now she can have sleep overs w/o being embarrassed. We're saving the alarm

for my soon to be 5 yr old son who at this point is still a bed wetter, but the

urologist isn't concerend at this point so...

Good luck.

We used the Malem brand w/ the multi/variable alarms (I didn't want her to get

used to one sound, so you are able to change the tone each time). It has a

reciever and the sensor attaches to the underwear by a magnet - may be bulky to

some sensory kids, but she didn't seem to mind (the actual sensor attaches to

the area of the underwear that gets wet). I went on bedwettingstore.com to buy

it - you can compare several alarms there.
