Here is information about a new group in Bergen County for South Asian

parents of children with disabilities. Please share this information with

South Asian families.

We have a parent support group for South Asian parents of children with

disabilities at Arya Samaj of New Jersey. We will provide free advocacy and

counseling to South Asian parents of children with disabling conditions such

as autism, ADHD, learning disability, behavior problems, bullying, racial

discrimination, etc. The group has parents, a social worker, two special

education teachers, and a developmental pediatrician. We meet at 113 Cottage

bhushan458@.... If any South Asian parent is seeking support we

provide it free of cost as a community service.

The members of the group are:

Dr. Vidya Bhushan Gupta, MD, Neurodevelopmental pediatrician

Our biggest challenge is to spread the word and assure South Asian parents

that their confidentiality will not be breached and they will be welcomed.

Bengali, Gujarati and Telugu are also spoken by members of the group.
