Guest guest
I recently bought my nutriveda i personally have tried it, taste you eventually get use to, But I can't seem to get my 4 yr old to take it, i have tried yogurt, pudding, shakes he tastes it pretty quick and won't take it any other food items anyone else has had success with? I leave my scoops sitting in a shake for several mins because at first it can have an odd taste but some love it I just dont lol but if anyone has any other ideas what i can put it in let me know thx From: koukla971@... <koukla971@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Update on Tanner on Nutriiveda/interesting new study Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 6:15 PM Hi , I am a mom of a 3.5yr old apricot son and I have him on the oils. He is speaking now for 6 months but still has a long way to go. My question is about the nutriiveda...it is advertised as a weight loss product so it is still safe for a 3 year old who can't afford to loose any weight? It sounds like I would give it a shot but I'm concerned about him loosing weight. Also it says it increases energy do u think it will hype up a small child? Finally how long did it take for u to see results? Thank you for any info u can provide. AnnMarie Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] Re: Update on Tanner on Nutriiveda/interesting new study Hi Carol! While Tanner had done well on the low dosage of vitamin e for about 2 years -Tanner's had to be off all vitamin e since his massive regression on the product called Speak which has mega dosages of vitamin E and K (may want to read this to learn more why http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=115029735601 & topic=10637 ) For Tanner he no longer is on any supplements at all except 2 ProEFA and 1 ProEPA once a day and nutriiveda. I didn't think anything of Tanner being on the 4 ProEFA and 2 ProEPA he was on for years...but once on the Nutriiveda his speech SURGED- and not just speech but amount of speech, clarity, complexity -and his surge was in academics and facial expressions. His grades have gone up and he's not the only one. I have been posting quite a few recent studies on Facebook and to our BigTent group about the new research coming out showing the possible links between nutrition/amino acids and protein to neurological function and repair. Since your son is closer to Tanner's age and on/has been on the same supplements -please check the nutriiveda out with his doctor and any friends you have that are nutritionists etc. Everyone I have shown it to have been very impressed with it and I was told if nothing else it's good nutrition loaded with easily digestible protein and all the essential amino acids etc.. The synergistic blend of ayurveda is something we are all learning in this group but Sowmya from our group is from India and she says while they may be new things to most of us -to her they are every day items used in the diet. There are no known side effects, drug interactions, or overdosage warnings on the product. In this group I do tell parents about the vitamin a but from what I can gather the turmeric is very high in beta carotene. Please call me with any questions 773 335 5135. It will be SO cool to hear that like my son Tanner who's one of our older 'children' (and of course Mel) that you see a surge that brings your son up on all aspects. I mean I an honestly say that Tanner is as close to " normal " now as whatever normal is. I don't discredit the years of therapy and fish oils etc....but since the surges were so rapid on the nutriiveda I do believe this metabolic product somehow was so needed by him. He seems to be aware of it as well and asks for it. I have my ADHD son Dakota on it for lunch every day now (he never wants to eat lunch -and he's a horrible eater unlike Tanner) That was due to the 4 friend's kids - all teens -who went on the nutriiveda to lose a few pounds and the side benefit is that all went to straight A students from B and C students...well Josh had even more issues and jumped around a few schools and is now " excelling " and straight As since on this. I find that too strange to make it coincidence. The fish oils always sounded too good to be true too -I'm sure like the fish oils there is a logical scientific explanation as to what's going on. Somehow I suspect if we start exploring some of the recent studies we'll unlock more answers. =====
Guest guest
Tanner and I didn't love the chocolate or vanilla to start. Glenn loved the chocolate to start and thought we were nuts. Tanner still doesn't like the vanilla at all no matter what I mix it into. I now LOVE both the vanilla and chocolate. My son Dakota likes the vanilla more than the chocolate but will drink either. Hey if we can get fish oils into the kids -a bit of chocolate or vanilla powder is a no brainer right? My husband says " It's no different than chocolate milk " and to him that's what it tastes like. My advice...when Tanner and I first took it I " doctored " it up- and I don't mean medically -but with stuff that we both liked taste wise. You'll know what your son likes to drink or eat anyway -mix a teeny bit in that and go from there. I can assure you that the taste does grow on you to the point that I can now mix it in plain water and shake it up and I think it's incredibly delicious. And not just me but Tanner too -and while Tanner is a great eater and not fussy like Dakota -he can be very stubborn when it comes to something he doesn't like the taste of. I made the vanilla mixed with fresh (canned are you kidding me???) pumpkin, pumpkin spice, some vanilla, a shot of agave nectar and a splash of Silk with ice and water and it tastes just like a pumpkin latte! It's incredible. Tanner won't even try it and he likes pumpkin but does not like the vanilla. What about sprinkling it on cereal? Chocolate chip pancakes after they are cooked (the chocolate) Just don't cook with it. Not that it says that but I'd be afraid that it could ruin the composition of whatever is working. =====
Guest guest
Hello , I have recently just started taking the Nutriiveda as well. I actually mix it in a mug of hot chocolate because I just didn't care for the taste mixed in milk. Do you know if mixing it in hot water will degrade any of the ingredients or decrease the effects?
