Thanks for the study. I read it and seems really encouraging. The

acupunturist here charged $ 40 / session and I have tried the NV and didnt work

for my son.From: kiddietalk <kiddietalk@...>

Wedyana from what I read from this Hong Kong study " Acupuncture and autism

spectrum disorders : an assessor-blinded randomized controlled trail (2009)

-you'll have to get permission to download it -it's not automatic:

http://en.scientificcommons.org/46181082

" improvement can be detected by observant caretakers or teachers after twelve to

twenty four sessions " and " more acupoints does not necessarily predict a better

outcome "

You'd have to give acupuncture time to work before you know if it's working. I

read the acupuncture for autism is supposed to be in the scalp -didn't read

about the feet but this actually is one type of therapy we never did with our

kids so don't know if that's always the case. My husband tried it once for pain

from an accident but it didn't help (didn't hurt either though so the only

downside was money and time)

Based on the study and your child's current acupuncturist recommendations to you

you may be able to detect some improvements in your child in 6 to 12 weeks @

twice a week.

Since from what I read the general fee is 60 to 120 dollars a session for

acupuncture...that would be at a bare minimum of 720 (US dollars) to just under

3000 dollars (2880) 'before' you even know if it's going to work as you have to

give it that 12 to 24 sessions. (I don't want to hear another peep from this

group about NV being expensive at 40 to 160 a month with results typically in

the first day to three days!!! ...and comes with a money back guarantee and is

working for just about all of us!!!)

Can't wait for our research! http://pursuitofresearch.org/pursuit.html Now we

have TWO whole food therapies to validate! Yay!

And Sherry thanks for the article that may answer a few more questions about why

fish oils and NV are working - very interesting.
