Guest guest
There is a thing called Zinc drink, it is clear and tasteless and our DAN Dr told us to use this, I just put it in my son's water, no upset stomach, works great!!! Guest guest
my daughter has been taking mini minerals brand zinc. It is a clear liquid that I give her about an 8th of a teaspoon a day but it is to be put in a drink. We add it to her goat's milk. And she has more loose stools too. Guest guest
My son was also found to have low zinc levels. Per Dr. Agin's suggestion, he takes 15mg/1 teaspoon of liquid zinc daily - we use a Kirkland brand found at rhinebeckhealth.com (and other places) which has a rasberry flavor. I mix it with his fish oil. He has not had any apparent side effects.  ________________________________ From: <daug4@...> Sent: Mon, January 4, 2010 12:39:32 PM Subject: [ ] Low zinc level  My son had some bld. work done and they found his zinc level to be low. Guest guest
This was a major issue with our daughter besides the dyspraxia and apraxia. She is on 100mg of zinc each day (2 @50mg tablets). Before this she had mouth sores/ulcers almost 3 or 4 times a mouth, she has had none for the past 6 months, and since then have found out her IgG is low in 2 subclasses (2 and 4) and we are on her 6th week of giving her vivaglobin and wow what energy she has now and even her speech is better. It is not fun to give her but we are signing her up for soccer as she should be able to run without the terrible fatigue she used to have. I am waiting til Feb when we do new blood work and hope we can back off the zinc. She used to have terrible sinus infections and is doing really well now. As far as the diarrhea the zinc did not cause her a problem but I must admit her stools are more normal now that she is on vivaglobin.
