Guest guest
: I found the reference to fortified cereals, on pg.265. Total is not mentioned by name (perhaps it was too new when the book was written). Walford says a serious question exists about " the bioavailability of the added materials in fortified cereals " . He continues that dince you don't know the source, it's better to obtain vitamins from a source you know. So it's not a definite " no " , it's a " maybe " . I don't see anything about " freshness " . There's also a paragraph about the benefits of eating the better cereals. " ..Cereals contain severa phytonutrients not present in fruits and vegetables " pg 266. Taking all this into account, my own personal decision for the time being is to continue eating Total. I see no adverse effects on my CR regimen, and hopefully I'm getting some nutrutional benes that are not in the rest of my diet.
