We will be wishing and praying that he does GREAT! How really wonderful that

there is something social that he enjoys doing! I would give anything if

had an activity that he enjoyed like that! He used to really love

swimming....really anything to do with water. But over the last two years

his interest has dimmed considerably. GO NATHAN!

I wish you luck. I used to help in special olympics, because I co-uped in

an autistic elementry class. I know that he'll do a good job, and that it

will be his best day ever.

Hi Charlotte in Iowa, I'm Charlotte in CT. Thanks for the encouraging news about your husband's fast recuperation. I don't bow, but I'm looking forward to being able to take long walks again at dawn the way I used to. Now, It's a struggle to get out of bed at dawn!! My THR is scheduled for mid-May. Maybe by August, I can go swimming again.

Have a good night, and regards to hubbie. Charlotte C.Meyer Family <cmeyer@...> wrote:

Looks like there are two Charlotte's on the board now. I'm Charlotte inIowa. My husband is now 7 weeks post-op with a right THR. Last night hewent bowling. Apparently being out of action for 2 months did nothing toharm his bowling skills. He bowled 5 games and had games in the 180's to210. On the first ball he bowled, he hit his surgery leg with the ball, butdidn't damage anything. He had to adjust his swing and he's taking smallersteps, but the smile on his face when he came home said it all.Charlotte in Iowa

Way to go -the Bowler!

Siobhan cycled our Sea Wall this weekend..... 11 kilometers. In the

heat and wearing her cast! Boy were we proud of her!

were so cute! did an 80 something in the first game and a

110 in the second! got into the 70's on both games. It was

hysterical to watch because I would set the ball down at the

line and she would kneel and push the ball. At times I thought it

would take 10 mins to get down the lane. LOL A couple of times she

tried to kick it, so I pushed it.
