Rice krispie treat question

I had to take my 3 yo daughter Niamh off NV last month as we were on vacation

and she would start sobbing everytime I tried to get her to take anything with

even a little vanilla NV in it. I just ordered the chocolae NV and I'm waiting

for it to arrive. 2 days ago I saw the rice Krispie treat recipie and decided to

try it - it was a big hit with Niamh (and her 6yo big brother!). After 2 days of

taking the NV in the treats I managed to get a tablespoon in her breakfast

cereal today without tears - so hopefully I can gradually work her back up to a

full scoop

Her twin Aidan had been taking the vanilla NV in his smoothies but has stopped

drinking them, however he refuses to even try the RK treats (he doesn't have a

big sweet tooth, and has texture issues - much prefers crunchy food). So I was

just thinking has anyone tried making chocolate Rice krispie treats (ie with

melted chocolate instead of marshmallows) ? He likes chocolate and the texture

would suit him better. I just thought I'd check if anyone aleady had a recipe

for chocolate RK treats before I try making one up myself.

Thanks,

mum to 3yo twins Niamh (CAS) and Aidan (speech delay and sensory issues), and

6yo

P.S. I'm a novice at making RK treats but I found it incredibly hard to stir the

mixture and had lots left stuck to the pan (but not burnt at all), and even with

using a full 3 cups of RK in a half sized batch (ie with 1/2 x 1lb bag of

marshmallows and 4 scoops NV and 3 1/2 tblspn butter) I seemed to have more

marshmallow than krispies in the final product. Did I do something wrong or is

this normal ? They still tasted good !!
