Guest guest
To find an alternative doctor in your area, go to www.acam.org. They have a list on site what each one does. >Does anybody know if there is a natural therapy M.D. in the Indianapolis are that utilizes oxygen therapies. > >Rkelly > > > >
Guest guest
Famason@... just opened a clinic in Va. He's using a product called MICOM, that raises the oxygen on a cellular level. It's a liquid mineral supplement, so it can be mailed to you. There are several different protocols available depending upon the severity of your ailment. Good luck in your quest. Guest guest
Actually, ACAM has integrated their site into www.healthy.net and the old site isn't fully functional. Look under Referral Network, Complementary Medicine. Guest guest
I'm from Indianapolis. I'm not aware of special groups or playgroups being available in the area. My daughter is 2 so she is in therapy through First Steps. In meetings for First Steps, I've had the privilege of meeting a couple of people with children with apraxia in the area to share valuable information. Who is your therapist at Riley? She will lose her First Steps services in June and we are looking for a good therapist for her. ________________________________ From: <drhishue@...> Sent: Wed, September 29, 2010 7:38:30 AM Subject: [ ] Indianapolis area  Is anyone from the Indianapolis area? Guest guest
Thanks for the response. Hopefully more Indiana people will find the group! > > I'm not from Indy and can't really help you out, but we are from Fort > Wayne, so not too terribly far :-) I think that when I spoke to , she said > that there weren't too many people from Indiana that she could think > of....good luck! > -Brittany > > > In a message dated 9/29/2010 9:26:18 A.M. Guest guest
, We live in Shelbyville, just south of Indianapolis. My soon to be 3 year old son does not have a diagnosis of apraxia but a speech delay at this point. He also receives speech therapy at Riley and attends a private preschool in Indy 2 days/ week. I have not found any apraxia groups in Indy but would love to know if some exist. If you want to chat offline, please email me at kluemperlorentz@.... Thanks, Tina > > Is anyone from the Indianapolis area? Are there any special groups here, playgroups with kids with apraxia, activities, etc.? Any info would be great! Guest guest
Hi. I'm from Merrillville, Indiana. My daughter will turn 4 on Halloween. I too often look for support in the Indiana area but haven't found much. This group has proved to be the best support for me during these trying times. My daughter abbey has severe/profound apraxia. I'm constantly fighting with school therapy and insurance to provide her with adequate services. I started her on the fish oils 2proEFA:1proEPA and NV in mid may. Of course she didn't qualify for ESY thru the summer so I bombarded her with ST as much as I could as a parent and took her to private ST 2xweek. As I look back she has made great strides with speech and all of her motor skills improved as well. She learned to swing and the swim stroke and to climb up the slide part of the slide all this summer. She's using 2-3 word sentences sometimes but is a big improvement from the 10-15 words she barely said a year ago. Her frustration level is improved but still bears it's ugly head ...she just has NO patience for anything. The Latetalker has been a great resource as I prepare for her case conference next week. Just thought I'd put her NV update out there. Also if anyone is in the northwest part of Indiana would luv to hear from you.
