Hi, I'm sure your doctors are good but have to throw in that your

description sounds so much like my daughter, who does have global apraxia

with hypotonia and SPD. She needed a lot of help to learn to chew and

swallow regular food and really began a regular diet at 4-5 years old (she

still has biting issues). Just a gentle nudge to maybe find the best OT and

apraxia SLP you can for another opinion. Soooooo many doctors I've dealt

with knew little or nothing about apraxia/dyspraxia (my first Pediatrician

told me to just " put the food in front of her -- she won't starve herself --

she'll eat eventually " -- she didn't eat for a week (I quit him). My

daughter's hypotonia is hugely better but her SPD still makes her appear a

bit quirky at times.

Yes, I'd totally recommend boimedical intervention. My child has blown

everyone away with how much she's changed and is now a happy child who can

express her wants and needs and is on a path to becoming conversational. God

Bless.
