Guest guest
I've been sharing about how Tanner's soared in academics since being on nutriiveda. First the non stop reading, the improved writing and focus in class. He's fully independent in making sure his work is done- no longer asks for help with his homework. As I updated once here Tanner used to find it extremely difficult to express his thoughts in writing. Actually if he read a book and you asked him to talk about it that wasn't a great way to know how much he knew about the book either. If he was tested on the book -that was the way to know that he was comprehending what he read. Since being on nutriiveda Tanner has become a constant reader. I frequently have to go into his room late at night to tell him to stop reading and go to sleep (don't ask how weird that was for me to do the first time I had to do that! Kind of like the first time I had to tell Tanner to stop talking!) In the past prior to nutriiveda Tanner always had me help him write any reports. On nutriiveda Tanner's ability to express himself improved- the only way I'd sometimes help is he would say what he wanted written and I type it for him as I can type as fast as just about anyone can talk. Tanner's favorite book so far has been The Outsiders. On Mother's Day we drove to Epcot for the flower festival and the boys brought their computers in the car to do any homework. In the car Tanner typed up the following about The Outsiders. This is without any help from anyone - and you can clearly read in this how engrossed he is/was in the story. I also want to add that we were all talking during the ride-so it wasn't exactly a library type setting in the car for focus or anything!: Tanner Geng 7th grade The Outsiders: There is this kid named Pony Boy and his two brother’s Soda Pop and Darry. Their friends are Two-bit, Steve, and ny who is like a class pet for the gang. They are Greasers which means they are poor and they have a lot of Grease in their hair. Then there are the Socs [social], the rich kids that jump the Greasers and threaten them. The two leaders for the Socs are Randy and Bobby. They have Gang fights because ones rich and ones poor so they have a hate for each other. Pony Boy is different from the greasers, he likes to read, draw, and go to school. The other Greasers think it is boring. Pony Boy does not like to fight or kill anyone but if his friends or he is in danger then he would fight back. Then there is ny he is shy and does not like to talk to talk to anyone he doesn’t know. He got beat up to dead almost by Bobbies and his gang. That his parents don’t even care about him, if he gets hurt or dies. Then the last one is Darry, Darry is the oldest of the brothers. He takes care of everything; it is just like a second dad. He makes sure Pony boy does his homework and when to go to bed. He takes care of all of the bills and sometimes Soda Pop helps out with it. One of my most favorite parts is when the church was on fire when some kids were in it and the crowd heard the kids cry for help but nobody moved. Then came Pony Boy, ny, and Dallas who just rushed in there except for Dallas who just stood outside the church. Pony Boy and ny were inside the church helping the kids outside the window. When they heard and saw the church about to fall down. Every part of that was exciting; I didn’t even know that I was reading that fast through the chapter. My second favorite is when they are about to have a big gang fight and everyone is pumped to beat the Socs. They are doing tricks down the stairs acting so cool that they can do that awesome trick. When the gang fight is going on Pony Boy is getting kicked in the face and back hard while he is still hanging on to a guy. I don’t know how he even hung that long. I didn’t even know that in New York or anywhere else that they have gang fights because one is rich and one is not. I thought the most gang fights are about race and mostly black and white. Another thing that I learned is that when a poor kid is about to get beat up by a rich kid the poor kid can find a beer bottle and break it and use that as a weapon. The rich kids have brass knuckles as a weapon that they use to beat up the poor kid. I would recommend it to a friend or a family member because like I said every part of the book I thought was exciting. Most likely I will read this book next year because it is that good and normally I would never read this a book twice. If I do read it next year I think that is going to be my first book I ever read twice. This book, I think it was well written how the story line went out amazingly. In the beginning of the story it tells you the main characters and how they act right away. Overall it is just a great book even though it is small book. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` And it's not just his improvements in written reports -it's his every day conversational skills. Tanner's speech improved pretty quick with nutriiveda as I report here back when I first had Tanner on this and prior to me knowing this would be effective for others http://pursuitofresearch.org/letter_lisa.html but what I am seeing now -and also hearing reported by others is a surge in more complex expression. There were bits of it prior -like Tanner coming up to me 2 weeks after being on nutriiveda to tell me why he is " perplexed " but now it's all the time. It would be interesting for a study with nutriiveda to include IQ testing. But as all of you know that have your child on nutriiveda it's far beyond just one area -like Tanner effortlessly over and over jumping over the bush that is a bit over 2 foot high 2 foot wide in front of our house. Something we never dreamed he would ever be able to do. Nutriiveda has given Tanner a whole new world, and I can't even believe that he is still having surges that amaze us -and it's because like jumping over the bush, he's going beyond. We have eaten organic and healthy and my boys have been on fish oils for years. The sudden and dramatic change is nothing short of unbelievable. You can see it with your own eyes and still be in awe. I am finishing up the book The Genius in All of Us- and I just can't help thinking that by providing Tanner with the essential/trace/synergistic blend or whatever it is in the nutrients or food in nutriiveda it's benefiting his cognitive and other abilities to their furthest potential. This needs to be studied and I am so happy that I am being flown out tomorrow to meet with Mr. Bill Farley again! It's just sad that these studies take so many years!!! Below is the update I just sent out about Tanner and his jumping skills -thought I would just add it here as to me this is clearly amazing surges in various areas: Well like many apraxic children Tanner's always had issues with things like doing anything that took lots of balance and coordination. Not that he didn't skateboard or ice skate or attempt to walk on high walls like his brother and other kids...but Tanner did it more because he wanted to try to do it -but it just was never his thing as he never had that coordination. I've watched Tanner with a group of boys and one by one they all jump over a pole- and then Tanner gets up to the pole as if he's going to jump but touches the top and quickly walks around it I can tell hoping nobody noticed he didn't go over. When he does try- no...just not a good thing. I'm OK with him not trying put it that way! When his brother and friends (and lots of kids across the country) started with more advanced parkour type jumping over and around things -that just left poor Tan in the dust. Well today Tanner ran up to a bush in front of our house that is around 2 foot high by 2 foot wide and just lifted both feet up and soared right over it like it was nothing -not once but over and over and over -and LANDING ON HIS FEET EACH TIME!!! My husband was blown away not just by Tanner's sudden ability to jump so well -but his ability to do it again and again and again -not seeming to get tired. Glenn said " Tanner never could have done that even once before " Of course I reminded everyone that this too has to be from nutriiveda -and this time no " oh Mom " or anything from anyone. Everyone just smiled because at this point we just know that's what it is. With what Tanner just did...Put it this way -I'm pretty athletic and I wouldn't even attempt it once! This is not just an improvement...but a profound and quite shocking difference in Tanner. If I saw someone in the distance doing what I just saw Tanner doing- or I didn't see what I just did with my own eyes -in a million years I never would have believed he could ever do this -and it didn't matter to me. I mean not everyone has to be good at stuff like this to make it in life right? I just posted a Tanner update the other day- I keep thinking...what else is there to share? How much more can he possibly do? Grown almost 4 inches in 7 months so he's now over 5 foot 10 (check) Academics across the board improvements noticed by all his teachers (check) multi tasking, increase in abstract more sophisticated humor and thought (check) sudden maturity and older kids wanting to hang out with him (check) speech and language skills improved to the point of others never knowing he had a speech issue (check) and now being able to do parkour type moves with ease. (check) surges consistent and still happening 7 months later. Once again however I have to say nutriiveda has brought Tanner BEYOND what I was hoping for. It's like this stuff if making him into not just a super student -but a way better athlete!!! And the fact it's just from essential nutrients??? I mean I always fed him organic and healthy -it just doesn't make lots of sense but clearly there is something in this formula. Those of you that have your kids on nutriiveda know what I mean- and for those that don't you can read some of the same type stories in younger children here http://pursuitofresearch.org/testimonials.html Not one little doubt in my mind -it's been around 7 months now on nutriiveda. You mark my words -this stuff if somehow helping the brain to repair. I don't know how- but I just know it will be proven. This is just INCREDIBLE!!!!! I have to see if I can get my older son Dakota to videotape it. Oh and PS -for those that don't know what parkour is -here is advanced =====
