Even though the regression can be and probably will be as quick as a day

-especially for the essential amino acids which are needed daily -the fish oils

or the essential fatty acids store up and take a bit more time to deplete...so

you may not notice the full regression for them for a few months -but a week is

what most of us did and what I recommend. Word of advice? Hide everything from

your husband -my husband was so mad at me and as I was more involved in knowing

how difficult it was to secure all the appropriate therapies and placement from

the IEP- but it's VERY hard- the hardest thing in the world to watch your child

regress. The good news about fish oils and NV is that with both within a few

days- maybe a week all will come back. I actually think it's a good idea for

all to stop the oils and NV (typically not at the same time but this is

different) because for sure that is when you really will stop taking them for

granted and doubting if it's them that is " working " And for the research types

in this group -you'll probably do it at least 3 times -but doing it too

much...after awhile it is mean. It's clear they need these essential nutrients

for whatever reason.

Another tip -even once you have the IEP you can still use taking them on and off

the oils and NV to show regression and progress. It's not cheating really since

most doubt they do anything anyway. Ha! Too funny!!!
