Guest guest
Hello everyone, I just wanted to report how my son, Isaac, was doing since I've made sure he's gotten his full dosage of the NV since September 22, a week ago. Wow, I have to say, he has improved a great deal already!!! Not only has he been so easy to care for, he has done things in the last two days that he has never been able to do before! Yesterday I took him to the doctor's office for a checkup. He was willing to stand on the scale and he obeyed me when I told him to put his hands to his side and not hold on to it. HE STAYED there and allowed the nurse to bring down the stick that would show how tall he was!!! (She commented that he was very tall for his age!) That is totally awesome for him!!! Usually he runs from the scale and has to be placed on the baby scale!!! He allowed her to also check his temp with the ear thermometer and he opened his mouth and said, " Ahhhh " when the doctor wanted to shine the light into his throat! (he has sensory issues in his mouth so the fact that he opened his mouth without knowing what the doc was wanting to do is miraculous!) I could not believe it. He was a different child. That's all I can say. He has made different sounds, including the " g " sound. What tickled me also at the doctor's office was, he made so many different facial expressions! They cracked me up because I am not used to seeing them come from him! Oooooo, he also did two to three signs all at once to try to form a sentence!!! He signed, lion, animal, bath. So asked him if the lion took a bath and he scowled at me, lowering his head and his eyebrows burrowed very deep towards his nose. I had to laugh out loud. It was so funny!! I guess I didn't " get " what he was trying to say! Also, he hasn't fought me as much when I brush his teeth. Usually, I have to strong arm him and hold him tight just to get it done, but, he'll even open his mouth more if I need him to! He still fusses and wants it over ASAP, but, I can tell he is much more cooperative! He is on fish oils too but when I started the fish oils Issac stopped wanting to take NV and he no longer had the dramatic surges. He's never minded taking fish oils and he is on them again. I still have to be holding him to get his NV in him, but, he doesn't fight me any more. :-) Overall, he is my happy boy. He and his little brother were hugging a little while ago, lost their balance and fell over. I was comforting my youngest one (Isaac landed on top of him) who was crying on the couch and Isaac walked up to him and placed his head on his chest, trying to comfort him. He has never done that before when he's accidently hurt his brother. Before, he'd always run away and hollar if we tried to get him to sign that he was sorry or hug/kiss his brother, he has NEVER initiated this before so I am super excited! Will keep you all posted. Guest guest
Romesa- I am so sorry to hear of your losses. I will keep you in my prayers. Meyer [ ] Isaac's progress Hello Everyone, I have suffered a couple great tragedies last month and have been going through a lot, so, I haven't posted as usual. I had my third miscarriage on my birthday, November 23rd, and then I found out on the same day, a dear friend of mine died in a horrible car accident. I am coming around again and am feeling a little better than I was so, I just wanted to post a few new things I've noticed Isaac doing. He's putting more 2 and 3 word sentences together. I can tell he's forming his mouth differently to try to make new sounds. He's trying to say " bed " now when he's ready to go to sleep. Another interesting thing I've noticed is when he jumps now, he clears the ground by about 3-4 inches, instead of the typical 1 inch. He can say about half of the letters in the alphabet and he identifies all of them. He holds still and opens his mouth when I brush his teeth. That is an amazing thing if you all knew how I had to fight with him before. He hated me putting that brush into his mouth and now, it seems those sensitivities are not so much an issue any more. His frustration levels have lessened and if he does have a fit, it doesn't last nearly as long as it used to. That is about all my mind can remember right now. I just wanted to post these new things about him that I've seen. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you all have a blessed Christmas holiday as well. Sincerely, Romesa The NV Sheriff 334-220-8140 romesa1@... <mailto:romesa1%40hotmail.com> (if you would like to order NV or ask me more about it, feel free to write me at my hotmail address, thanks!)
