Guest guest
Hi everyone, Happy holiday! My mother and I just discussed if we have anything to report on Matt. We are not sure. He is chatting with himself (for example while he is in the bathroom 'reading' a book, playing with his toys) - but is it more or are we just paying attention to it more. He is terribly upset if he is wet at his last potty time (waking up in the morning wet is still just a piece of information - that doesn't upset him as much as the fact that he didn't make it to the wake up - bathroom time). He is now insistent - to the point of walking me to the phone to call - that I arrange play dates for him. We are giving him the week off from therapy, homework - everything except reading together daily - so we are not sure if his concentration and attention are improving. LOL - he is concentrating while playing his Batman game on Wii - but I don't think we can count that. Other than his meltdown over being wet - he has been a happy boy these past few days of vacation. So I'm just not sure. But as it is something he likes (either his breakfast dessert shake or breakfast or lunch dessert pudding (actually yogurt - but he calls it pudding and we haven't corrected him - I guess it tastes much better than his usual yogurt) and it may be helping, so we'll continue him on this and continue to monitor his progress. My mother reports that she really likes her morning shake. It is a really good meal replacement. She has tried a number of meal replacement shakes and this one works - unlike the large number that didn't work for her. She hasn't weighed herself - and doesn't know if she has lost any weight - but has really enjoyed the fact that she can have her shake and has the energy to do all of her morning running around errands and isn't hungry again until 1 or so.
