Guest guest
Hi there, I'm awaiting the arrival of a bottle of Pro-EFA (liquid form), which I will start my little boy on. I was going to start him on a teaspoon a day, but beleive that I am to increase this dosage after a while? I have since read on the messages, that some people give Pro-Efa and Pro-Epa - in the ratio of 2:1. Could somebody explain to me why both are used, and if I should consider doing this for my son? Initially I was of the impression that I just needed to use the Pro-Efa, but now I'm unsure. It's a little confusing for someone who is relatively new to all this. I have thus far (past fortnight) found this message board to be of immense help, and am truly thankful to all the people that contribute their experiences. Truly wonderful and caring people. And, as I gain more personal experience in my dealings with my sons verbal dyspraxia, look forward to also being able to share my experiences with others - especially in Australia, where there seems to be so little information and resources. I'm also looking into purchasing some of the Nutriiveda - which from what I understand, I would use in conjunction with the fish oil. Guest guest
I can't recall how old your child is but a teaspoon would be equivalent to 4 capsules of ProEFA...you could start on the 1.2 teaspoon and increase from there. You don't have to start with the ProEPA- but after using the ProEFA for a few weeks at least if not a month or two -then squeeze in a capsule of ProEPA for each 1.2 teaspoon of ProEFA and you'll (almost for sure) see more surges then if you use a full teaspoon of ProEFA. More isn't always better -and that includes more expensive and more complex too...sometimes and we are seeing this again with the nutriiveda -the answer may lie right before our eyes and may be as simple as a nutrient our bodies, our children's bodies are missing. Remember my saying about scurvy and the orange...it's the vitamin C -not that it was a magic orange. With fish oil and nutriiveda it may be the same thing. Difference is that in the nutriiveda we don't know yet what's making the difference. Clearly it appears to support the metabolic system -which appears to be helping metabolize the fish oils better...or why else for the first time could I lower my son's dosage by half with zero regression -continued improvements? Is it the amino acids? Isolate protein which is so easily digestible, one of the other nutrients...or probably most intriguing the synergistic blend of ayurveda " medicine " ...or just one of the ingredients like turmeric...well from Sowmya I'd say it's not just any one ayurvedic ingredient because as she will tell you -all in nutriiveda are normal everyday foods in India -and her son is autistic/apraxia and had surges (with side effect of " hyper " ) in speech and awareness reportedly...and even with the hyper report -a word from the teacher that he was more focused. The calls I have been getting have me more and more convinced that we are on to something. I don't know yet the percentage it will work for -and don't know if a particular dosage is better than another...I just know that I am so extremely thankful to Dr. Chopra and Dr. Simon for formulating this metabolic ayurvedic product! =====
