M.A.P is an Iphone application for speech therapists and parents of children with articulation/phonological disorders who need access to phonemically organized words on the go. With M.A.P you have access to over 600 words with their respective images on the touch of a button. M.A.P is a tool that can be used to complement your assessment data and to create fun therapy sessions. Therapists can also recommend M.A.P to parents for maximizing the benefits of therapy at home MAP provides more than 600 words classified by manner of articulation as well as individual phonemes in all positions of the word. All you have to do is add new user, add new session, select which phonemes or class of phonemes you want to target, select which position of the word you are working on and begin session. MAP is the easy way to show parents their child's progress in therapy. Also parents of children with articulation disorders can practice specific errors at home. Guest guest
Hi Vinutha, I looked up this app and it cost $29.99. You can go to I Tunes and see the price, information, and reviews on this application. Guest guest
Hi I am a SLP. Do the kids respond to this. If yes what ages is it used for? Tks Lori Melnitsky Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
Hi Lori, M.A.P is not an articulation method; it is a tool that you can use in therapy. I have only used it with Pre-K kids, they loved it because of the fact that they could use some fancy phone in therapy - which is a lot more fun than cards. Also with M.A.P you have access to all phonemes and it also keeps track of percentage of accuracy for you. M.A.P. Take care! Guest guest
Hi- My name is Lori Melnitsky. I work with many apraxic and children with oral motor dysfunction on LI. I also have a colleague who travels to homes on the North Shore if needed. We also provide education about apraxia, PROMPT etc. As far as I know, none of the children I see are on Nutriveda. At the risk of sounding ignorant, this is new to me. Can someone explain where this came from and what it's main purpose is. I like to have all updated info when I speak to parents. tks so much.
