Dr. Forem is a wonderful pediatric neurologist (from NYU) and she

accepts insurance.

Her reports helped us to increase services for my son.

Also, Dr. Francine Siegel-Stein who treats my son is a great developmental

pediatrician. She is in Englewood, NJ.

If you have out of network/open access type of insurance, you can submit her

receipts and get reimbursed.

Hope this helps.

Good luck,

June

pediatric neurodevelpmental doc?

Other than dr Marilyn Agin, whom i realize is fantastic but is waaaay out of our

realm of $$$ right now.

Have a 2.5 year old son and having the worst time getting him good speech

therapy through EI, and just started receiving OT (also through nyc EI) and

frankly, i'm at a loss. They are saying verbal apraxia, motor dsypraxia, etc.

I want a professional dr. to confirm and help guide us!

Thanks sooo much for any leads. I'm ok with a doc that doesn't take insurance

but maybe one a little more in reach as far as cost.

Thanks.

I took my son recently to see Dr. Redi at Flushing Hospital. She is excellent

and knowledgable of Apraxia. In that group there is also Dr. Govin who I was

told has some work relation with Dr. Agin.  Everything paid by my insurance and

she did a  complete report and tested my son for apraxia and everything. The

only bad thing is that there is a waiting list, But Dr Redi was worth it.
