Guest guest
Okay--we'll see if this continues. Nate started Nutriiveda 16 days ago-- Today, for the first day, his teacher said Nate was talking all day long. He was repeating back all the words she said in the story they were reading. This is a dramatic change for him. He has been very quiet, especially during reading to the group. He really hasn't talked in the large groupl since school started in August. we just had the iep meeting yesterday--and this is a dramatic change from what was shared there! Another thing I noticed is that Nate seems to be overcoming his impulsiveness. He will throw his favorite toys in the toilet. Which is a real bummer for me! Yesterday, I took him to the potty and he had his favorite toy in his hand which has been in the potty several times. Puppy started to go--then Nate said, " No, no " and drew back his hand that held the puppy. I asked if I could hold it for him. And he gave me puppy. Previously, he would have impulsively thrown it in at the speed of light and not wanted to let me hold it. Nate has also had problems in line at school. He doesn't like kids in his space. And he will impulsively push them in the back. The aid told me she saw him raise his hand, think twice, and not do it. I will see if his talking continues! His teacher was really excited!
