I wanted to find a reliable source to buy some. Also my kid is lactose intolerant I would want a lactose free version. I read in the files that choline is needed. I wanted to use Mercola Krill oil. Would that be a good source for choline? Finally, how much and how often do I give it? Thank You Andree
Guest guest
we bought piracetam through International Nutrition but haven't started it yet (baby too young I think) here (http://www.nutrivene.com/view_item.php?ProductID=215 & ) Phosphotidyl Choline (PC) is also something they talk about on our Down syndrome groups as highly beneficial to the cell membranes. BodyBio oil with PC comes highly recommended. > > > > Hello, > > I have decided to give Piracetam a try on my almost 6 year old(49 lbs). I wanted to find a reliable source to buy some. Guest guest
I would give phosphatidyl choline. Start out low and slow with the piracetam and work your way up. My son only recently started so we are figuring out where he should be right now. My husband and I have been taking it for months since they stopped making aniracetam. My husband takes 3 750 mg caps in the morning and then 2 as needed later throughout the day. I think it comes out to about 5-7 for him daily. Myself, I take 2 750 mg caps in the morning and then 2 later throughout the day as needed. I generally take between 4-6 caps daily. But I have to take PC with every dose to avoid the headache. My husband only needs to take it in the morning. I started my son on 1/3 cap 2-3x a day with PC in the morning. Guest guest
Thank you What brand of piracetam do you use and is there a soy free phosphatidyl choline on the market? I looked and I have not been able to locate one. Also should I do the P choline several weeks before starting the Piracetam? Guest guest
I don't know about the soy (maybe PhosChol?) but no, you don't need to start it in advance. But from experience, if you don't give it at least once a day with the piracetam, you will get a gnarly migraine within days if not sooner. It definitely depletes choline. Guest guest
Hi, my 3.5 year old has been on it for about 6 months. We have seen more language, especially expressive. We also see more complex imagination (still pretty basic for his age). Unfortunately, as with many of our kids - since they're on so many different supps, it is hard to attribute a particular gain to a given supp but we think it is working. Here is where we get it http://www.antiaging-systems.com/a2z/piracetam.htm Lena > > Hello, > > Has anyone used Piracetam and got great results with it? > Where can I buy this supplement ? > > Thanks, > Maya >
Guest guest
We use this and did it in isolation of other things. We did see big jumps in higher level thinking and conversations. We bought it at the same place - antiaging-systems.com On 9/3/09, lenakhais <lenakhais@...> wrote: > Hi, > > my 3.5 year old has been on it for about 6 months. Guest guest
It's on our list of things to try as well... I read very old Andy's post and as per it accomplishes the same thing as hbot but with different mechanism..but Andy doesn't recommend HBOT as such. Not sure if he recommends this supplement. Will like to know his view http://onibasu.com/archives/am/17582.html -Arun On Thu, Sep 3, 2009 at 11:16 AM, mywonderbaby <mywonderbaby@...>wrote: > > > Hello, > > Has anyone used Piracetam and got great results with it? > Where can I buy this supplement ? > > Thanks, > Maya > > > -- Arun Sood
Guest guest
Hi , I did use Piracetam for about 2yrs. It seemed to provide calmness and better focus, but not to perfection.. I ordered mine from Smart Nutritionals, I hope this helps. Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Arun ===>I have discussed Piracetam with Andy, before we used it, he did not indicate there was any problem with it. Lots of other people have also used it with good results. It was good for us, but we didn't use it for attention, ours had painful hands, which it did help. We also use Aniracetam, which was also useful. Our girl, 8, is very creative, the kind that has 100 ideas before she hits the floor in the morning, became ultra creative, and a little hypervigilant, but we cut back the dose and it became fine. Guest guest
Thanks !! Few follow up questions - What dosage of piracetam and aniracetam did you use? Did you use it together? - Did you use choline along with it? Was reading the info on website and it states it works synergistically with choline. If yes, what form of choline? - Do you recommend this product, while still early in chelation? We are @round 17 (with only 3 rounds of ALA) thanks as always for your guidance!! Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Arun Thanks !! Few follow up questions - What dosage of piracetam and aniracetam did you use? Did you use it together? ===>We used the powder from www.beyondacentury.com so the amounts are a guesstimate. We used about 900 mgs of Piracetam and 400 mgs of Aniracetam, in divided doses, and yes, we used them together. The adult dose for Piracetam is 24-4800 mgs, so I always count 1/3 as the dose for a 50 lb child. The adult dose for Aniracetam is 800-1600 mgs. - Did you use choline along with it? Was reading the info on website and it states it works synergistically with choline. If yes, what form of choline? ===>Yes, we did use lecithin, a form of choline, better absorbed than choline which can be destroyed by stomach bacteria. - Do you recommend this product, while still early in chelation? We are @round 17 (with only 3 rounds of ALA) ===>Yes, it appears perfectly safe and is highly recommended by most. As always start slow and work up. We saw improvement fairly quickly, within about 2-3 days. The only side effect for some, they say, is reduced sleep, for some. But here, she slept better. If you get the less sleep, use less. I hope it helps you. thanks as always for your guidance!! Guest guest
Piracetam should only be taken if there is a good reason to take it ...it used to be given for a type of epilepsy after oxygen starvation of the brain and is similar to a new anti epilepsy drug called levetiracetam or keppra. I found this statement and just was curious to what your opinion is regarding piracetam and apraxia. Thanks
