Why not do both SCD and nutriveda? If your son was so affected by SCD than you

were on the right track. The SCD will heal what the nutriveda is helping. It

often takes more than 2 months to " turn around " on SCD depending on how bad the

gut dysbiosis is. From what I know of Nutriveda, it contains stuff that we on

biomed are often already doing (amino acids, turmeric, etc). Sounds

interesting, but I like to give things individually so I can customize the

individual doses etc. I'm going to look up the ingredients of Nutriveda again-

does it provide mito support? Mito issues are the first thing I suspect in

apraxia/dyspraxia.

as Autistic. They have told me he has SPD and Apraxia. Apparently he shows too

much joint attention to get the diagnosis. One thing that he very much has in

common with other kiddies on the spectrum is the digestion issues. We know he

has problems with yeast and colostridia. He is either constipated or has blow

outs. We are seeing a new Doc. He is a DAN Doc who was also a family Doc in

his native Germany for 23 years. He is helping us out a lot. One thing we are

trying, and I did not find out about this from him, is a product called

Nutriveda. I was on a group for Apraxic kids and one of the ladies tried

this on her son and saw huge surges in his development. One by one all the

mommies started trying it. It became hard to deny that there wasn't something

to it. These Apraxia kiddies tend to also have gut issues. Their parents were

reporting changes in gut issues, more eye contact, and more speech. I too

noticed big differences in my son. I did go off of it to start the SCD diet. I

wish that I never stopped it. My son regressed terribly on the diet. I know

this is to be expected but things were not improving. We gave it 2 months. I

finally stopped the diet. I gave it all a break with the exception of the

homeopathic drops from our DAN. So, now I have started again with Nutriveda and

am seeing amazing improvement. Way more talking and eye contact. More

communicative in general. I am posting this as I feel it can really help. If

anyone out there wants more info go to the Apraxia (late talkers) group.

I finally left the group as it became all about NV! Please read the posts.

Truly amazing! I wish I had never stopped. This product is sold as an Aurvedic

weight loss drink. The Deepak Chopra centre endorses it. It is whey based but

is sold as GFCF. Apparently whey has no caesin in it? Or they have removed it?

Not sure but it is GFCF, says right on it. I was very suspicious, but it really

helps. One thought is that whey boosts glutathion levels. (sorry for spelling,

long day no spell check) Also, it contains tumeric and curcumin, which are

known for their anti inflamitory properties. I thought I would share it with

this board, as these apraxic/spd kids share a lot of the same issues. If anyone

orders it and notices changes please share!

Sierra-

How dod you know if your child has a mito problem? Are there tests to check for

it? My akmost 4 year old was diagnosed with apraxia/dyspraxia and I often wonder

about Mito.

Thx

Hi, we were reading the info on Nutiveda on their website and I noticed a lot of

yeast products. Can anyone explain what they are and why we would be trying to

get them into our kids when yeast is such a huge issue?

Any ideas for how to give nutriveda. my son is a very picky eater.

Cannot do rice krispie treats etc... I put it in his yogurt and he spit

it right out. I only put a drop.

Okay, I am ready to take the plunge.

How much do I need to order for a little guy who is 6yo and 47 pounds?

I want to order just what we'll need for the first month so my husband

doesn't have sticker shock.

Thanks,

Colleen
