Guest guest
In our group over the years we have found the CLO to be too high in DHA, not enough EPA and no GLA. DHA and EPA are the Omege 3s and GLA is Omega 6 from either primrose or borage seed oil. We have found a formula higher in EPA to DHA with a small amount of GLA to produce consistently for the majority the best results. That translates to you can use less -and see more surges. Here's one page on the history behind our 2001 First Apraxia Conference http://www.cherab.org/information/historyEFA.html Also CLO has natural occurring fat soluble vitamins in it -for example vitamin A. You don't want to mess with high amounts of anything that stores in the body. Fish oils made from areas outside of the liver of the fish do not contain these fat soluble vitamins -only those made from the liver of the fish like cod liver oil. NV by the way contains all the amino acids and nutrients -but the product is 100 percent water soluble and nutrients are from whole foods so most don't need digestive enzymes with it as getting nutrients from whole foods is the purest and most easily digestible way to consume nutrients. Also NV is partly an isolate so already partially broken down. http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html Here are some support contacts from various points of NY- not sure if any of these are close but also added that you are from upstate to the subject line so perhaps others can spot this. Guest guest
In regards to the NV, it looks like a soy free product, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm that in the group. Also, do people using NV continue giving their children multi-vitamins if they were before starting NV? Thanks a lot. > > In our group over the years we have found the CLO to be too high in DHA, not enough EPA and no GLA. Guest guest
We stopped daily vitamins when we started nutraveda. nutraveda provides all the vitamins needed other than fish oil. I understand the vitamins come from whole foods which are the ingredients and don't see soy but don't know. You should check with your child's pediatrician, that is what we did. > > > > In our group over the years we have found the CLO to be too high in DHA, not enough EPA and no GLA.
