Guest guest
Is the Nutriiveda work best for kids that are non-verbal??? Or kids who is on the spectrum??? How about kids who are just have problems with pronunciation, talking to sentences or in general speaking, but no problem with intimidating words and can speak 2 to 3 words combo??  From: sow <sowk721@...> Subject: [ ] Our update.... Date: Monday, February 8, 2010, 11:05 AM  I was so excited when told me about several of our kids showing positive results to nutriiveda. We have seen some good things at our home too. My son's teacher sent back a note saying that he has been very attentive in the classroom. His receptive language has improved, he has been using more verbal cues to request for things!! I have not told any of my therapists or the school staff that he is on nutriiveda. I wanted to get the " true feedbacks " from them. We recently started OT with a very new OT person. She has never seen him or interacted with him previously. Last week after their third session, she comes out saying she needed some more time to do the evaluation. My heart was racing thinking that he was not cooperative and did not comply to her etc…. Then she slowly started, the first week he was all over the place and she could do only 15% of the evaluation. The second week she did the evaluation and thought that she was done and that she would start the regular OT session thefpllowing Friday [02/05]. SO on Friday when she started doing her OT stuff with my son, she discovered that he knew far more than she evaluated him the first two times!!! She was totally zapped. She also said he communicated with her nicely and gave good eye-contact! ! " Communicated nicely " – I asked her what she meant by it….she said he used his words!!!What surprised me is even though he has some words but for someone new it took awhile to understand him….but the OT was able to understand him!!! Last week from Tuesday I had started giving my son 3 scoops…I wanted to see how he would react [i had increased it from 1 1/2 to 3].And all 4 days [Tues/Wed/Thur/ Fri] I got good news from his therapist/school. His fine motor tracing was The Best so far. I ran out of EFA's and my shipment was not going to come until Friday so I thought instead of giving him 1 1/2 scoops let me increase it to 2 1/2.When he did well on Monday , I increased his dosage by another ½ scoop on Tue[total 3 scoops] I did not see any regression without the EFA's and EPA's!!!! I am trying to stick to 3 scoops from now and will keep you all updated. I just think of one thing - to make my son TALK and INTERACT with everyone…….And my thoughts always brings me back to a quote which I learnt when I was a kid: " Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every idea alone. This is the way to success " – Swami Vivekananda. Our IDEA is to make OUR kids to TALK…that would be our biggest SUCCESS. Would love to hear all updates, Good Luck, sowmya
